Leisha Pickering Sues College Sweetheart of Her Ex-Congressman Husband, Cites 'C Street' House as Infidelity Site

A Capitol Hill townhouse that is supposed to be a gathering place for some conservative Christian lawmakers in Congress seems to be getting a rather bad rep lately. Instead of a house full of goodness and grace, the so-called "C Street" house seems to be a house for lying, cheating, male spouses.
"Today we have news of yet another C Streeter falling off the fidelity wagon," writes Josh Marshall of Talking Points Memo.
CQ Politics reports that the house — frequented by cheaters South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford and Sen. John Ensign, R-NV — also was a favorite of former Rep. Charles W. Pickering Jr., R-MS, whose estranged wife, Leisha Pickering, claims he had an affair with a college flame while living there. In a Mississippi court filing made by Mrs. Pickering, she claims that Elizabeth Creekmore Byrd broke up her marriage, in part, because of the infidelity that went on at "C Street." She claims "alienation of affection."
Mrs. Pickering claims that Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour offered her hubby, who had been in Congress for 12 years, the seat of former Sen. Trent Lott in 2007, but Creekmore Byrd "insisted that if Pickering accepted the position in the Senate that their relationship would not be able to continue." Barbour later named then-Rep. Roger Wicker, R-MS, to Lott’s seat.
Leisha Pickering separated from her husband in June 2008, and Chip Pickering began divorce proceedings against her. Chip retired from Congress in January. The couple has five sons.

Might be a "feel good" thread for the democrats. It’s hard to tell. Family values, bible toting, gun slinging…infidelity…all goes together : )
Not all republicans are bible thumpers and you know that. Everyone, democrats and republicans need to hold true to Family Values. After all, it’s not a bad thing. President Obama gave a family values speech to the NAACP. Believing in God is not a bad thing. If one is a Christian they understand the temptations of life and the value of forgiveness. There are Catholic priests, ministers and preachers who fall prey to infidelity and incest. There are Presidents of the United States who fall prey to infidelity with young pages. People like us who say we would never do something like that find themselves weakened, unhappy in a marriage or relationship and they fall prey in finding comfort somewere else. Is it wrong? Yes. It spares no political party or houses of worship.

So based on your post, are you saying that the Democratic Party is "anti-family" then?
