Levi Johnston: I Want Bristol Palin Back

By The Staff at wowOwow.com
ABC

Hope may not be lost for Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston, who broke off their engagement last week.

"Good Morning America" caught up with Johnston this week and got him to open up a bit about what happened to the couple’s young love. According to Johnston — whose relationship with then-pregnant Palin became the talk of the town when Bristol’s mother, Sarah Palin, became John McCain’s running mate last year — the decision was mutual and had to do with "me not being mature enough, or something." The couple had their first child last December.

When asked if he had any regrets about their relationship, the Wasilla teenager said, "No, none at all." A recent Star report said Bristol didn’t want him to see the baby that much, but he said that’s not true. Johnston also said he sees their baby, Tripp, whenever he pleases; he keeps old sonogram pictures in his truck and says he’d "do anything" for his child. But he wants the 18-year-old Bristol back.

They’re civil to each other, "for the most part … We’ve both had our tough times with each other, we’ll see what happens," said Johnston, 19, who is still trying to find a job. "I’d like to get back together with her someday."

I wish the media would just leave this young couple alone!  They will work things out one way or another without millions of armchair therapists and meddlers in the way!

I agree. They’re kids — get the heck out of their lives!!

They are so young and finding their way in life.   The media is never kind to them.

agreed….there are so many other ‘issues’ to focus on….these children have parents who can ‘get in their face’…..I wonder—shall I contact the media so that they can come to my town and interview a girl in the same siuation, that I heard about last week, 2 or 3 streets over?  think they’ll come?

Patty,

I echo your sentiments. We also have a local girl, who allegedly is in a similar situation. I hate to think the living hell the media would make an already difficult situation. Bristol did not ask for this level of attention and she should be allowed to return to her private life and her baby.

If left alone they’ll either work out their problems or not.  It’s up to them and the media needs to totally butt out.

Boo! And re: "me not being mature enough…" Would that be a Duh-uh!…or a Yah-think?….or a Wha-aht-Evv-ah…?

Bristol Palin and Levi are going to be the new "Speidi/Lilo/BritBrit/Paris".

Get ready to know everything about these kids including their second favorite color.

Let these young people find their way, if they get back together great for them, and if they don’t, great for them.

For God’s sake leave them alone.

What in God’s name is "Good Morning America" chasing this guy around for? Do we not have enough to ‘report’ on in this country? No wonder it takes Jon Stewart on Comedy Central to actually REPORT the news.

A good reason, I stopped watching the morning "news" shows years ago, DeB.  They are after the tabloid stuff.

I would have to agree that the media needs to focus on bigger things then this couple’s life.  Why is their relationship news and couples, of all ages, go through this each and every day…Please go away & leave them alone.

I am so heartened that on a Monday morning, when AIG execs are lining their pockets with OUR money (from TARP 1.0), that the vaunted media juggernut that is ABC News is chasing down 19 year olds to talk about their love lives. On a national broadcast. Yep…it must be a slooooow news day…because the only other rationale I can come up with is puffing a little smoke and aiming a few mirrors to keep a). Sarah Palin (via her family) in the news); and b).divert attention away from…from…??? Hmmm, what wouldn’t ABC News/George Stephanopolus want us NOT discussing??? ABC carry water much???

Mary….Perfect!!!!!!!!!!!  I just don’t get this "tabloid journalism" out there….with what is happening in our Govt. right now, there has to be more issues to discuss….I don’t think it is a slow news day in America….in fact, there hasn’t been one since Jan. 1st of this year.  Any article  that Gov. Palin’s name can be mentioned in, then it’s news!!!  This is why tv news  and newspapers are in trouble now….

Tomorrow’s “big story” President O’Bama is 1/32nd parts Irish. Maybe (for the sake of BIG MEDIA) the Howard K. Stern/Anna Nicole Smith media frenzy will anew itself…
