LIZ SMITH FLASH! Joe Biden's Bad Move
Do you approve of Vice President Joe Biden expressing himself freely in the matter of advising people to stay off mass transit during the swine-flu scare?
I don’t. This is the kind of question he could sidestep saying the NIH has the matter under control and can answer such queries. The top men in the administration shouldn’t always be offering answers to just anything asked of them.
Obama always gives slow, carefully considered, rather hesitant and almost over-thoughtful answers. Biden just pops off on everything without thinking. There needs to be a balance between president and vice president.
Tell us below what you think: Do you approve of Vice President Joe Biden expressing himself freely in the matter of advising people to stay off mass transit during the swine-flu scare?

Rebecca: No one said that Joe Biden wasn’t a decent man. And as far as the drubbing he’s gotten in the media, I don’t remember anyone defending Dan Quayle for the same mistakes.
The Liberals constantly critized and made fun of that man. Never even bothering to state the fact that he too is a DECENT MAN.
Of course you’ll defend him: YOU’RE A LIBERAL. and you attack anyone on here who defends a Conservative.
I mean BO himself has a problem responding to the press unless the script is right in front of him. And you all accused GWB of the same thing. DUH!
(thanking the Gods that someone pointed out the obvious)
The German Eyes are smiling :) Thank you!
I am not ‘defending him’… I don’t think there is anything to defend. He is a very intelligent, knowledgeable and capable man who I feel very confident with as VP and speaking his mind, gaffes and all, take nothing away from that.
Bush was dumb. It wasn’t about gaffes, it was about dumb and unknowledgeable.
DeBurca: …unknowledgeable.
If Bush was an unknowledgeable president, then we are having a run on unknowledgeable presidents. At least Bush has ‘governor of a very large state’ in his resumé.
Good Saturday Morning, Marjorie! You do have a way with words and logic. George Bush was an excellent president. Like every president, he made mistakes, however, he never apologized for the United States. He was decisive and confident, sometimes to a fault, but always with the heart of a true American. He was not arrogant….he was confident and Americans felt safe under his watch.
No other president had a 9/11. No other president had a Katrina. George Bush cannot be compared to any other president because of these two events. As I have said so many times, I believe one day history will be very kind to George Bush. However, I now feel it will be sooner than later due to the direction President Obama is taking our country. 2012 is not far away, and our opportunity to reclaim our values and status as a powerful country for which we should never have to apologize are within reach.
Republicans should take on this new mantra: "We’re mad as hell and we aren’t going to take it anymore" knowing full well we have to make some changes to make that happen.
deber: …always with the heart of a true American.
And Good Morning to you, too.
As for Bush, the one thing Americans could count on is that he would never willingly sell us out. In his heart, he is American. I think, as time and events play out, he will be regarded as the president who took what was handed to him and did the best he could with it. Can’t ask for much more than that.
About the decision to go to war in Iraq, and the blame falling on Republicans and Bush in particular, this is what needs to be restated: Going back to the Iraq vote, 60 votes were needed to vote on the issue. There were not 60 republicans (in the Senate at the time). There were not even a majority of republicans when that vote took place.
Had majority leader Tom Dashael not taken the issue to a vote, there would have not been a War Resolution at that time.
Dems are also at fault when it comes to Iraq.
