Liz Smith on Obama's Dogfight

Liz Smith
We should keep supporting President Obama’s status in this dogfight (it’s not our country), and we should be encouraging to the people of Iran. Even Pat Buchanan, arch conservative, believes Obama’s position on Iran is the right one. What does the Conservative Right want? Another war for us with Iran or to worsen relations with a government and a people that may be softening up without the irritation of George Bush. Regardless of who, which side is in power in the near future in Iran, that is who Obama will have to deal and negotiate with. We should stand aside and let Iran speak for itself.

Yes Deber, one thing for sure is that the next President will have a real reason to blame his predecessor! I only hope that the people will not be so broken down that we find ourselves afraid to make a change when soooooo much has been invested.

You know that he will start lamenting that he "wasn’t done yet" "things haven’t had a chance"…blah blah blah. It’s kind of like going to Vegas…you loose a bit and don’t think that you can walk away….gotta win that money back before you go….

This entire country is going to need a 12 step program after Obama gets through with us. Can you just see that elitist Obama in Africa? Not a good thing….he would never make it there….

Besides, Michelle will run for something. She is a black Hilliary…with one difference, I don’t think that her husband is interested in chasing women…if you get my drift.

Gosh, Kelly, we will need to elect two presidents in 2012 to tackle Obama’s deficit!!  Tandem Presidente in 2012!

So true! Two Presidents…instead of one President with two faces!

Deber, Did a few people here in the past have not accuse President Obama of putting Americans in danger? Well, why would he interfere with Iran’s affairs and make us (this country) a target for conflict and possible war.

Do you realize getting involve with Iran’s affairs will cost us financially because we would have to sent troops there to keep the peace. There are other countries in the world who can help; let them to be the first to help and we will follow if we have too. Whats with the obsession with power. When a person or country is unable to control their power they destroy them-self. President Obama know that the United States has the power to help Iranian people, but he will use his powers with diplomacy rather than arrogance. I praise him for that. We do not need to be involve in another war with anyone!

oh gheez deber,,,,,some of that stuff you put up is not relevant anymore, for the propoganda project—-Obama IS, for REAL, the President of the US now….the election is past history…..a majority voted for him…and unllike the last 2 elections—-each ovote was counted as it was intended when the voter submitted his choice…..

Secondly—them there are some weak supporting rationalizations….could you be just a bit more specific ?  Back it up with some real ‘meat’ if you get my drift….instead of ‘slogans’?,,,

Patty, who are you talking too. If that person is me then you need to address your response directly to me.

The same people who accused President Obama of putting us Americans in danger by being nice to other countries are the same people who are accusing him of not doing anything for Iran. Make up your minds! And NO I am not CANADIAN! Just because I made a statement does not mean I am Canadian.

No—-apparently I was not talking to you—I was talking to canuck canuck

Below see the Wikipedia definition of Canuck—-note that it refers to Canadians……..

RE: Obama and Iran:  Dear A Amedee…..my position is and has always been that Obama and the USA should keep our noses out of another countries internal problems…..We are not the rulers of the world, we are not responsible for the elections in Iran, and just as they did when in 2000 and 2004, there were more votes cast for Bush than registered voters, in a couple of places…..other countries kept THEIR noses out of our elections…..it is called RESPECT…ask Aretha!

Thanks for all your support and good posts, too, under.  All of us do alot of reading and that’s what it takes to post an informed opinion rather than get down in the mud with name calling.   What is always interesting to me….always….is that very few democrats can tell us "how" Obama is doing a good job.   They haven’t much praise for him except to say, "Well, he is doing a good job with what George Bush left him."   Quite frankly, I believe the ivy league mentalities he surrounded himself with have no common sense.   President Obama is only as good as what he is told to say.   He is given information to sell the public.    And he is not doing a good job of selling the agenda

Liz they are too busy wanting him to fail and trying to push their agenda. Every thing else be damned. I find it amazing how they still don’t get bullying gets us no where. All they are doing by making loud noises is signing Iranian death warrants. I am grateful Obama is using his head and diplomacy.

Then perhaps he never should have made a speech in a country that has one of the worst human rights records in this world. He gave them a hope they should not have been given and now those kids are reaching out to him for even just a word of encouragement and he says nothing. They are dying in those streets and he is partially responsible for giving them a hope they never had. He now will have blood on his hands.

Ok broken record but we will have to agree to disagree.) It is not for us to put our nose where it doesn’t belong. Lets face it we all support these folks however we will be signing death warrants  if we put out backing for the opposition. They do not want America to roll in and do anything. They want to make their own destiny.

But he did stick his nose into their affairs via the speech in Egypt! They are crying out for his support in their blogs and in the reports that are making it out of Iran. He encouraged it and now look what is happening!!!
