Michelle Obama’s "booty" is off limits over at New York magazine. Well, sort of.

The magazine’s website yesterday posted this picture of the first couple leaving for London and the writer, Dan Amira, suggested the president was saluting his wife’s derriere. "As he boarded Marine One, Obama returned the salute of the marine standing guard … we think. It also looks like Obama might just be blocking the sun’s glare as he checks out Michelle’s booty." Yes, well, the angle is a bit off, but we’re sure Mrs. Obama — and the President — wouldn’t appreciate such remarks. New York magazine certainly didn’t: They pulled the story within minutes, Huffington Post reports.

When asked for a comment, spokeswoman Lauren Starke remarked, "As you know, bloggers work in a hurry, and occasionally items go up that are not in the best taste. In this instance we decided the best solution was to take the post down."
