Obama Tax Forms Reveal Fortune

Like the rest of Americans, Barack and Michelle Obama filed their taxes yesterday, and those forms give the world a view into the first couple’s assets. And those assets are sizable.
According to their tax return, the President and his wife had $2.35 million in taxable income after deductions, which included $25,000 donations to the United Negro College Fund and the anti-poverty CARE. The bulk of the Obamas’ earnings last year came from the President’s book sales. The campaign trail must have kept them from making too much bank, however, because the couple’s 2007 tax forms included over $4 million in taxable income, Bloomberg reports.
Vice-President Joe Biden and his wife, Jill, didn’t do quite as well as the Obamas: they had $242,929 in taxable income last year, not including social security benefits.

Whew!! Joe and Jill are just "under" the $250,000.00 tax increase!!! They must be ecstatic! Many of us aren’t so lucky.
Let’s face it. Presidents have to be published to build any kind of wealth. Unless they inherit family wealth, the only possible way for them to accumulate funds is through publishing and later as a guest speaker. Obama will not inherit wealth so publish away while you are popular and people are still buying your books!
You never know when the adulation will stop!

This piece failed to mention that $850,000 was paid in taxes by President Obama and First Lady Obama!
Remember, long before they entered the white house they were making salaries in the $300,000 range! … The books were published long before Senator Obama became president!
There’s no dirt here wowOwow !!!! … They paid their taxes like many other honest Americans!
Vice-President Biden and Dr. Biden need to write some books, and book some speaking engagements !

DeBurca, I adore the Biden’s and know they are not motivated by money! … My position there are a lot of imbeciles out there peddling all kinds of junk! … I am certain people like myself would love to hear from the Biden’s and would not mind paying to do so.
We could all benefit from some extra cash!
