I applaud President Obama for appointing these dynamic women. These women are highly qualified. They are articulate, well educated and accomplishd women. Women who will represent America well in their positions. Black women have always been on the lower end of the totem pole and vilified. It is wonderful to see positive representation of Black women. I am delighted they have become support systems for each other. Women can work together without the stereotypical bickering and stabbing each other in the back. President Obama respects women and their abilities. He’s married to one of the worlds most intelligent, accomplished and articulate women. It’s wonderful to see SISTERS at the top! They are excellent role models for all of Americas women.
For decades, society have not given much thought to black women in much the same way as black men; therefore it is good to see there are black women making stride in our society. The perception has always been that black women rank in the lesser class of society among women from other races. Regardless of all the stereo types that black women face; it is important for people to known that black women are just as capable of accomplishing whatever they put their minds too. They have struggle and persevere thorough many obstacles and there are no greater experiences that harvest strength than overcoming ones obstacles.
The most important thing for black woman to keep in mind is that they are unique. They possess certain strength within them by culture that lets them emerge out of the most difficult times. However, there is that one thing that too often stand in their way and that is they don’t seem to think that they are worthy of the best in life. The world is yours too, take hold of it and run as far as your can until you reach the finish line.
In order to feel worthy, they must start by appreciating the colour of their skin; the kink in the hair. I have often find that black hair is unique with endless possibilities; the butts; the nose etc. Whatever they have (their features) are a gift from God and they must learn to appreciate it. It is those very same features that make them beautiful. Do not change yourselves to measure up. Just be your authentic selves.
These women are professional, smart and qualified. I look for great work from them for the american people (all the people).
Congratulations!
