Palin, Clinton Comic Sell Out

Sarah Palin is hugely popular among comic-book readers.
Bluewater Productions, a graphic-novel company, yesterday released a biography on the Alaska governor and, surprisingly, are already planning a second edition. The same is true for their biography of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
Remarked publisher Darren G. Davis, "Despite our plan to overprint these titles, the demand greatly exceeded our projections. We had no clue how well these books would be received in the marketplace."
The books are the first in Bluewater’s new "Female Force" series, which profiles powerful female leaders. They’re also planning a more general "Political Power" series that will soon feature a book on former Secretary of State Colin Powell.
We haven’t read comics in years, but these may just be the funny books for us!

What, you don’t think that flashy blonde wigs and superstars are the best things to fill young women’s heads with? Neither do I. :P
No wonder we have so many girls with eating disorders, low self esteem, and so many other problems: so infrequently are they taught (despite occasional lip service to that end) to aspire to anything beyond above a size 0 forever-20-something supermodel, that there is no other "female reality". Regardless of whether or not you like their politics, it really is good to see intelligent, accomplished women like Clinton and Palin in politics, who are where they are in spite of, not because, of their looks. :-)
They were selling a Spiderman/Obama comic up here in Canada, I hope they decide to sell the Clinton and Palin ones here too.
