Palin Revives Ashley Judd Feud, Attacks Media (Video)

Sarah Palin was on a role during a Republican party dinner in Alaska last week.
Addressing her party peers, the Governor took aim at some of her favorite targets, like the media, which she seems to think helped cost her and running mate John McCain the election, according to video.
There was an unprecedented level of media slant, media involvement [in this election.] Some in the media actually participated in not so much the ‘who-what-where-when-why’ objective reporting on candidates and positions, those five W’s that I learned when I had a journalism degree so many years ago in college, when the world of journalism was quite different than it is today.
Palin’s remarks should come as no surprise — she’s long blamed the media for portraying her and her party in a less-than-desirable light.
Palin also used her platform to revive another famous feud: the one with Ashley Judd, who last month made headlines for coming out against Palin’s animal rights record. Judd was specifically incensed at word that the Governor would promote aerial killing of wolves in Alaska, a move wild life conservations have long decried. She didn’t, however, mention Judd by name. Palin simply wagged a finger at "those goofy Defenders of Wildlife celebrity starlets who don’t even know about Alaska." Republicans, said Palin, need to stand up to such shenanigans.
The lawmaker also hinted at a rift between her and Sen. McCain’s team when she discussed getting nervous ahead of her debate against Joe Biden last fall. Said Palin, "So I’m looking around for somebody to pray with, I just need maybe a little help, maybe a little extra. And the McCain campaign, love ‘em, you know, they’re a lot of people around me, but nobody I could find that I wanted to hold hands with and pray."

What WOW does not tell you that she said…
"Her speech, delivered last Friday to the Anchorage Lincoln Day Dinner, was recorded by the Alaska Republican Party and posted online Tuesday.
Reflecting on the campaign, Palin said there were "a variety of reasons" Republicans lost in November, namely the faltering economy, but she seemed to place most of the blame on the press." "Some in the media actually participated in not so much the ‘who-what-where-when-why’ objective reporting on candidates and positions, those five W’s that I learned when I had a journalism degree so many years ago in college, when the world of journalism was quite different than it is today," she said." "No, things have changed," she continued. "But complaining? Or whining? Absolutely not. But I am going to call it like I see it. It doesn’t do any good to whine about any of this. But I can call it like I see it. Sometimes it gets me in a lot of trouble when I speak candidly, and I speak from the heart and I do such a thing. But I am going to." "And there was that media slant this go round," she said. "And unless things change, the GOP had really better can stand together, ‘cause we got that on the battlefield also. I call it like I see it and like I lived it on the campaign trail. Not complaining, but dealing with reality." "Those are the cards that are dealt us," she said, "and we had better learn to play that hand and do things right and do things better." " She mocked the Obama administration’s elimination of the term "enemy combatant" and reminded the crowd that "we’re at war." She lauded former President Bush for his efforts to prevent another terrorist attack after September 11, standing up for the 43rd president even though "the political and media elite ridiculed and mocked him." "It’s no small accomplishment that no terrorist attack has occurred since 9/11," Palin said. Adding her voice to the debate over the future of the GOP, Palin said the Republican Party would be happy to welcome Democrats and independents who might grow frustrated with Democratic overreach, but she rejected the suggestion that the party should become more moderate. Instead, she argued, Republicans need to better communicate their ideas. "Sometimes, the middle of the fence is really the most uncomfortable place to be," she said. "How about we just keep it simple? To grow, we’ve got to be who we are." Skip over this contentS. J. ‘who-what-where-when-why’
Thanks for presenting Sarah Palin’s speech in its entirety rather than sound bites or snippets.
Anyone who followed the primaries and the general election know that Gov. Palin is telling the truth about the MSM.
"Those are the cards that are dealt us," she said, "and we had better learn to play that hand and do things right and do things better."
That lady knows where it’s at.
For those interested in the ENTIRE speech in context….

Thank you so much SJ…nice to read the "whole" story!!!
Thanks SJ—you’re always right on top of things!!! What a different tune is playing in the entire speech than the snippets. Thanks for posting it.
I admire Sarah Palin. She is accomplished, intelligent, determined and down to earth. As far as Ashley Judd, she is an actor….period. She wanted/needed media attention and she knew how to get it. Perhaps her "agent" said "let’s see…animal activist…Sarah Palin…" And, they went for it.
What is for certain is that if Sarah Palin runs for President in 2012, she will be so media savvy by then for having gone through and surviving the constant attacks by the left!
S. J. thanks for posting what was left out. It is always better to read the entire speech to get the full story.
