Palin's Pals Mock Mitt Romney in Bear Ad (Video)

Supporters of Sarah Palin made a new video mocking Mitt Romney, who was once on most beautiful list.

The feud between Mitt Romney and Sarah Palin takes a new turn this morning after a pro-Palin group, Conservatives4Palin, released a video mocking Mitt.

The video depicts Romney fleeing a bear in the woods, all to the tune of Benny Hill’s theme. Palin then shows up to save the day, shoots the bear and makes it into a rug.

The video comes after Romney dissed Palin over her inclusion on Time magazine’s list of the 100 Most Influential people. "I think there are a lot more influential Republicans than that [Time list] would suggest," Romney said. "But was that the issue on the most beautiful people or the most influential people? … I’m not sure. If it’s the most beautiful, I understand. We’re not real cute.”

As Jason Linkins points out, however, Romney was once on People’s Most Beautiful list.

Here’s how I wish the Palin-Couric exchange would’ve went:

Couric: Can you name any other Supreme Court decisions you disagree with?

Palin: Off the top of my head, no. Roe v. Wade is clearly the one that stands out above the rest. But the average American out there isn’t worried about whether I can rattle off a bunch of Supreme Court decisions. They are worried about making their mortgage payments, keeping their jobs and sending their kids to college. They trust the Supreme Court to make those decisions. What they want from a President and Vice President is someone who will appoint Federal judges who fairly interpret the Constitution and adjudicate accordingly.

Now, let me ask you a question, Katie. You interviewed Senator Biden recently. So when you asked him this same question, would you care to share with me his answer?

Couric: Well, I didn’t ask him that question.

Palin: You didn’t? Why not? He’s a VP nominee. I’m a VP nominee. Don’t you want to know what Supreme Court decisions he disagrees with? Why are you only interested in my perspective on this?

Couric: …………. (Katie) Crickets chirping…..

What I find odd about the Governor’s answer was why she didn’t bring up the courts decision on the Exon Valdez. She stated she was disappointed in that decision, and it wasn’t ancient history so why didn’t she give that answer? Couldn’t she even remember something as terrible as that and it happened in her own state??

You missed something, though.  The original bear ad was a Reagan political ad.  If you’ll recall, the Bear is a symbol of the former Soviet Union withw home we were in a "Cold War" at the time.  Reagan’s motto was "peace through strength" and the ad is about being prepared through strength to fight the bear.  Conservatives4Palin had already recently shown a remix of the Reagan ad with Palin at the end.  It was only after Mitt’s comments that C4P added the Mitt portion of the remixed video.  Hope this helps provide some greater context for your readers.  You should update your post with the link to C4P’s first remix.

Actually her dad shot that one I believe…..Again you have no clue how those of us in the Pacific Northwest live.  I have two Blacktail Deer mounts on my office walls…..my brother shot them..but they are beautiful and more people get ot see them there.  

BTW…we ate the meat!
