Patti Blagojevich 'Considering' NBC Reality Show

Patti Blagojevich may be stepping up to fill her husband’s shoes. No, she’s not running to be Governor of Illinois, but she may very well be flying down to Costa Rica to star on the NBC reality show "I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!"

The role had originally been offered to Rod Blagojevich, but a judge said he could not travel because, you know, he’s about to be put on trial for allegedly trying to sell Barack Obama’s Senate seat. Thus, NBC turned to Patti, whose spokesman, Glenn Selig, says she has not yet decided what step to take: "She’s been offered the opportunity, and she’s considering it." The Chicago-Tribune informs us that the show pays $80,000 a week, which will no doubt help with Blago’s court fees.

Our only question: does being an impeached Governor’s wife qualify as "celebrity"?

deber — Oh, no.  We don’t want them to go away.  I love watching the Democrats implode in front of my eyes.  Let’s see — Blago, his money grubbing wife — Nancy "pants on fire Pelosi" — Joe (loose lips) Biden — Robert (cell phones) Gibbs — it just keeps on keepin’ on.  Oh and don’t forget Jesse Ventura!  And the "Barfalo" broad (she’s a hoot).   Guess I should throw in the "Hollywood" experts!   Janet "Nipplelito" anyone?  Throw in a few tax evaders and "dingy" Harry.  Did I miss anyone?  Oh, forgot — "hot" people!

If they all went away where would we get our daily laugh a minute.

You did miss some!

Lewis "Scooter" Libby, former chief of staff to Vice President Dick Cheney was found guilty of obstruction of justice, and Larry Craig was arrested for lewd conduct in the men’s bathroom of an airport . Co-Chairman of McCain for President Bob Allen was arrested for soliciting a male undercover police officer, offering to pay $20 to perform oral sex .  Then there was Ted Stevens’ Renovation-gate.  And let’s not forget the fired U.S. attorneys, deleted RNC e-mails, sexually harassed pages, outed CIA agents, the warrantless wiretapping, plum defense contracts, golf junkets to Scotland, and the lovely Abu Graib photos.   Halliburton, helmed by Dick Cheney, scored lucrative Iraq contracts netting his firm $20 billion .  Wasn’t there some talk about a $ 4000 wrench?   We also remember that weasel Tom " The Hammer" DeLay.

There certainly appears to be a great many more Republicans getting hit with the pervert/sexual  brush than Democrats.  The hypocrisy is, when a party puts itself on a pedestal as the "MORAL" party, they should make sure their house is in order.

I’m just saying….

Yeah but Maggie — all of those things were scattered over 8 years.  These laugh a minutes have been in only 100+ days.  I think it sets a record!

Just sayin’……

Exactly… during the last time the GOP held the power, and there is far, far more that could be listed.  Not even mentioned is Cheney’s ongoing and ever constant whirlwind " I’m Not to Blame and the Sky is Falling"  tour.

Deber is right go away and stay away.  Who would ever watch or care.  Celbrity is hardly the word I would use to describe her.

It’s a good job Blago didn’t get to go as we may have never seen him again he would have got lost somewhere in the jungle.

It was really a joke…if he went into the jungle the chances are he may have conveniently got lost and avoided his trial!

Poor Costa Rica.  I didn’t realize it was so desperate.  Maybe Bill Clinton can help them out, too.

Blago is a character, so I can see why they would have wanted him on the show. His wife is pretty nondescript and I can’t imagine her drawing many viewers. But I do think they are desperate for money at the moment.

and the TV stations want ratings.  "Scandalous" people get ratings.  They should both go to jail.

He was scandalous enough for ratings, she isn’t.

I think her "connection" to him is scandalous enough to be considered for a ratings ploy, though.  :-)
