Accused 'Craigslist Killer' Philip Markoff Arraigned Today

Philip Markoff, the accused Craigslist Killer, will be arraigned this morning in a Boston court on new charges.
The Boston Globe reports a startling twist in the case of the murder of 26-year-old Julissa Brisman. Markoff reportedly used another man’s New York driver’s license to purchase the 9-mm automatic handgun used to kill Brisman, a masseuse who met Markoff after posting an exotic service ad on the website Craigslist.
Investigators do not think the man on the license, Andrew Miller, is connected to the death, and they are not sure how Markoff obtained his license.
Markoff, the 23-year-old medical student, is charged with first-degree murder, armed robbery, two counts of armed kidnapping, armed assault with intent to commit robbery and two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm. In April, following his arrest, he pleaded not guilty to the charges.
CBS News reports that the woman once engaged to Markoff, Megan McAllister, has been cooperating with the jury. Whether or not McAllister will take the witness stand is still to be decided. Markoff also faces charges in the robbing and attacking of Trisha Leffler, another young woman who met Markoff under similar circumstances.

Look at him. Tall. Handsome. Appealing. Smart. Clever.
All American guy. Who would have thought it?
Reminiscent of Ted Bundy.
Gotta ask, Maggie, ‘cause I hear it on the news also — what is handsome about this guy? Looks like he has a bad complexion and a bad haircut to me. =)
My 88 year old mother thinks he’s good looking. I think that’s pretty scary!
Yeah…….I hope you never brought your dates home for mom’s approval. =)
Personally, I hope his ex appreciates how very, very lucky she is that this guy was caught. I would really like to hear her story — ‘cause I bet she has spent a great deal of time going over in her mind little "clues" that might have occurred over the course of their relationship that he was not quite "stable". Since from outward appearances and credentials, he appeared to be quite the catch — I wonder what she might have been "putting up with" just for the appearance of having snagged a quite a catch.
I hope he gets the maximum penalty and Craigslist should be shut down.
Why on earth should craigslist be shut down? Murderers use the tools at their disposal, that does not make those tools inherently wrong. Personally, I’ve found craigslist very helpful when it comes to getting rid of stuff and finding stuff I need. I also adopted all five of my ferrets through craigslist.
Yes, what this man did was horrible. But shutting down Craigslist is not the answer.
Craigslist sex ads should be stopped! ,,, The creator of Craigslist is very defiant! ,,, He’s sickening! ,,, He is monetarily motivated! ,,, The maximum would be a well deserved Six Feet!
The last I heard the girlfriend left him.
