Rush Limbaugh Goes After Andrea Mitchell Over Frank Agreement

MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell found herself in Rush Limbaugh’s line of fire yesterday when the radio host described her as Rep. Barney Frank’s "butt boy." Charming, no?
It all started on Wednesday, when Mitchell agreed with Frank’s assertion that the media was at least partly to blame for holding up so many administration appointees. All the attention on relatively small "infractions" — like, perhaps, $10,000 in unpaid taxes — worries politicians who don’t want to seem sympathetic.
Said Frank, who is chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, "It is the over-focus on the part of people in the media to relatively minority infractions that causes it … We are in a culture now where a lack of perfection exacts too strong a tone, but that’s the politicians reacting to the media." Mitchell agreed, saying, "I take your point, Mr. Frank, Mr. Chairman. You’re right, and we plead guilty because this culture right now of ‘gotcha’ has gotten completely out of control." Well, Limbaugh didn’t like that one bit and used his radio show yesterday to blast Mitchell’s acquiescence:
Barney Frank blames the media for the fact that they’re focusing on too many tax cheats who otherwise would be great employees at the Treasury Department. Andrea Mitchell says, ‘I take your point, Mr. Chairman, you’re right, and we plead guilty’ … See, she does come off like a ‘butt boy’ there.
Not only are Limbaugh’s remarks objectionable for the content, but there is also another implication: Rep. Frank’s an openly gay man. It’s no wonder a majority of Americans have an unfavorable opinion of Rush. But, of course, Limbaugh knows he ruffles feathers, and, moments after the comment, he offered a preemptive, self-aware apology: "People don’t like the term … We have new people tuning in and they hear the term. They’re not going to understand the humor with which we intend this. I apologize, folks." Thanks, Rush, but what about apologizing to Mitchell?

The point Rush made is why is Andrea apologizing for doing her job????
Barney…..WAAA! She should have been asking you why you did not do yours !
oh gheezy..Andrea is married to Greenspan…and he is not exactly ‘in favor’ wth a lot of investors who lost everything they had, because of his hands off policies, ….while Rush is a legend in HIS own mind, who has replaced Howard Stern, it seems , as the shock jock… and the media enables Rush in his toxic co-dependency to power and fame…..
The ‘he said-she said’ fodder must be a great distractive diversion from more important ‘stuff’…..stuff that no one really wants to deal with—like reality! Strangely, —I do not find this ‘entertaining’ either….
It really is none of my business who Frank sleeps with—-just like it is none of yours that I sleep with my cockapoo and my cat! And it is illegal to acquire drugs on the sneak to feed an addiction…..but it is not illegal to be Barney Frank or Andrea Mitchell…And I will BET money, that every person who pays income taxes, has at one time in their either found a loop-hole to avoid paying taxes, especially those who KNOW where they are—-whether it is by sheltering their money, or exaggerating on their donations to charity, or by overlooking some perk by failing to tell their accountants some little tid-bit that should have been remembered…..
Quite frankly—-there are more loopholes for those that make lots of money—and to find them takes an Einstein brain and a ton of accountants—-and congress set it up that way on purpose! Not one person…it took hundreds of them to manipulate the tax laws….how is ONE person suppposed to be able to ‘keep up’?
This whole thing is being blown out of proportion! Although I do agree that the media is all too often focused on creating the news…and interfering with progress, I remind you all that RUSH is ALSO a member of the ‘Media’…
Rush is a policical pundit…not a journalist that is suppose to be reporting the news rather than as you said "creating it"…what is she apologizing for? And what is Frank punishing her for?…other than putting the Messsiah and his followers in a bad light??? That is morally reprehensable to him? I’m astonished he has the audicity to mention it??
Perscription addiction happens to good people too…..I would bet you know one or two and are totally unaware. People with cronic pain do stupid things. He was caught he admitted it..got help.
I do not care who Frank sleeps with either…except when his former "guy friend" was an employee of Fannie or Freddie and he is getting $ kick backs from them..all the while they are destroying our banking system and he is telling concerned folks that are asking questions for YEARS "they are fine"….one has to wonder even if that is legal is it not imoral stealing my tax money for his gain.?
This concept that people that have more money have an unfair advantage to be able to hire an accountant to use what ever LEGAL deductions they are entitled to…is ridiculous! Have you paid an accountant lately?
Between my small business and personal taxes….whatever gain I have made is offen off set by the cost of the service. But I’m ok with that as it stimulates the economy, provides employees at his form with a job and I would much rather donate my money to them than to give it to the IRS to spend UN-WISELY.
Mitchell has for quite some time been a shield for the left. With this Obama administration she has been an all or nothing mouth piece for all that is Obama! Her left leaning biases has been on display for quite sometime now.
She is a hack and a joke as a so called journalist!
