Sarah Palin Strikes Back at Levi Johnston's Appearance on Tyra Banks Show

Levi Johnston’s appearance on Tyra Banks’ show today has, not surprisingly, drawn a harsh reply from Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, his former future mother-in-law.
While sitting on Tyra’s couch, Levi confesses that he’s "pretty sure" that Bristol’s mom knew there was hanky-panky going on between the teen couple, and that they practiced safe sex "most of the time." Levi’s sister also complains to Tyra that the Johnston family wasn’t allowed in the hospital when their child, Tripp was born, and she also complains that Levi was forced to go to the Republican convention when he would rather have been hunting. "It’s time we get that story out there," he said.
Getting that story out did not sit well with the Palin camp, whose family rep, Meghan Stapleton, released the following statement:
Bristol did not even know Levi was going on the show. We’re disappointed that Levi and his family, in a quest for fame, attention, and fortune, are engaging in flat-out lies, gross exaggeration, and even distortion of their relationship. Bristol’s focus will remain on raising Tripp, completing her education, and advocating abstinence. It is unfortunate that Levi finds it more appealing to exploit his previous relationship with Bristol than to contribute to the well-being of the child.
The statement ends, saying, "Bristol realizes now that she made a mistake in her relationship and is the one taking responsibility for their actions."
We are eager to see what the Hatfields, er the Johnstons, have to say to that.

Sorry dear, i think you have your head in the sand. Everything I posted in my previous comment about Sarah Palin was completely true and factual.
I also have no idea what you two ladies are going on and on about "What If"? There are many people out there who are in bad situations who need help, and that’s not a "What If". There are teen moms, special needs children, homeless people and sick people who need help. And Sarah Palin doesn’t give a crap about them, shown by her cutting funding for programs to assist them.
But dont let thoughts of hungry children and homeless teen moms invade your dreams there. No one likes to think about those lazy bums.
What are you babbling on about? Sarah Palin wants limited government, but will legislate morality at every turn depending on her personal religion. She doesn’t care about underprivileged or special needs children or teen mothers who can’t support themselves or their babies. SHe isn’t responsible for the world, but she is responsible for cutting funding for programs that help those who need help.
Ms. Kramer,
I have been reading this thread for 3 pages. Amanda produced a lot of factual information, sentence after sentence, for consideration without a lot of adjectives, capitalization or exclamation marks. I don’t feel any hate in her words. For you to project that emotion on her post, is just that—a projection. Look in the mirror. You are the angry one. Please for the sake of this discussion—calm down and stop hurling invectives yourself. This argument is clearly at a draw.
deber B- Thanks and I so agree with you, but there is still a part of me that wants to say, "what has she done to receive so much negative publicity and hate"? Futhermore, it just keeps coming and coming. Now it will be all her fault as a mother that Bristol made such a bad choice regarding her x-boyfriend and father of her child. Instead of focusing on Levi and his dysfuntional family, they accuse S. Palin for it. No matter what, I am still So Amazed. What you said about the women who are so hateful and this being a site for us, still throws me for a loop. I have always known that we should try to find good in people, not hatred. Disagree with her politics but not S. Palin as a person. She, as you know has not done a thing to deserve this treatment. A Mystery, It Is-Deber! Thanks! Deborah K.
Yes, Z, I agree with you. I didn’t find the young man offensive at all, though - however, I only heard snippets of the interview repeated somewhere. But, what I do recall is that when her daughter was already pregnant, the two did sleep in the Palin home as a couople - such dichotomies are not easily grasped by teens, at least not until they are about 22-23 years of age, brain-wise.
This whole thing with that family is just too muddled to believe there is no need for psychotherapy before the woman ponders another political race. God help us all if she does.
