Steele Clarifies Abortion Comments: 'I'm Pro-Life'

Well, that was fast!

Just hours after GQ published an interview in which Michael Steele described abortion as an "individual choice," the politician, who’s chairman of the Republican National Committee, released a statement reaffirming his pro-life politics:

I am pro-life, always have been, always will be … The strength of the pro-life movement lies in choosing life and sharing the wisdom of that choice with those who face difficult circumstances. They did that for my mother and I am here today because they did. In my view, Roe vs. Wade was wrongly decided and should be repealed. I realize that there are good people in our party who disagree with me on this issue. But the Republican Party is and will continue to be the party of life. I support our platform and its call for a Human Life Amendment.

Steele is no doubt a bit sensitive these days — party loyalists have been decrying him as too liberal and not in line with the party’s platform.

Well there you have it, I’m sure after this latest breaking news from Steele the writing is on the wall for him and he will be sent packing so fast his feet won’t touch the ground!!!  Of course many will say he wasn’t a "real Rep" to start with as anyone who disagrees with their platform is sometimes branded that way.  This just makes it easier for them to get rid of him, lets be honest he was only a token gesture in the first place, so they will have a golden opportunity now to say "bye bye" man of Steele it’s time to go!!

The sound of the door behind him as he is removed from his job ! Although, personally, I’d love to see him stay … endlessly entertaining,

They should start a countdown clock for him.  Every time he espouses an opinion someone needs to hit the clock to see how long it will take him to apologize for the "misunderstanding" or whatever.  He is pathetic!  Take a stand, man! For something—anything—and stick to it!  How hard is that?? Either that or keep to the talking points they give you and save yourself the embarrassment of constantly apologizing.

Besides, who even listens to all these politicians and their "apologies" for "misspeaking", "misunderstandings", and whatever else they label it?  No one.  It’s just one big eye roll after another and a "Yah, right.  The *only* reason you are sorry is because you got ______ (caught, reprimanded, called out, etc.)

I’m beginning to become insulted by all these apologies, because it says to me they think I’m stupid enough to believe it.  That these grown up people in their 40s, 50s, and beyond didn’t "realize" what they were saying was bad, inappropriate… For real? That’s what you are going with…you didn’t know?  BZZZZZZ!  Try again, none of that flies with me anymore.

We have one of those clocks set up for Obama, you could borrow it if you like.

Kinda like, there will be no earmarks, to well, maybe some earmarks if they are worthy.  How long will it take for all earmarks to be okay.  We’ve been dealing with this for weeks.

It is truly amazing that this man can even walk upright! He has no idea what he is talking about. He is the epitome of a person who is so obsessed with saying “the right” thing instead of what he truly believes, he constantly sticks his foot in his mouth. I have a prediction and we’ll see if I am right or wrong. The RNC is going to oust him and he is going to change his stripes and claim bias. I can see it coming. It won’t be that he isn’t representing the party’s beliefs and ideology in a manner to support and uplift the party’s image. It won’t be because he is flawed and befuddled in terms of his personal persona presented to the media. It won’t be because he has not developed any refreshing and innovative ideas for the Republican Party. No, his complaint will be they wanted to get rid of him because of his race. Mark my words…..we’ll see if I am wrong.

Watch out…  that could be taken as a racist remark.  A flashback of the chimpanzee cartoon just came to me.

Nope, he’s a Republican. Anything goes then. I can tell you some horror stories about what my black Republican friends had to endure this past election; but, of course, the educated, wealthy white folks who were spewing these remarks were doing so in the name of diversity and equality. After all, in exercising their right to support the candidate of their choice, these minorities were supporting "intolerance", and so needed to be intolerantly "put in their places". Go figure. Do as I say, not as I do, I guess.
