Todd Palin Speaks Out | 04/02/2009 8:00 am

Todd Palin Speaks on Sarah's $150K Wardrobe and 'Class Act' McCains

Remember the uproar over Sarah Palin’s reported $150,000 campaign wardrobe last year? Everyone was bent out of shape that the potential vice president had spent such an exorbitant amount of money on apparel. Well, according to Palin’s husband, Todd, Mrs. Palin had nothing to do with the shopping spree — a spree Todd decries as "out of our control."

Speaking to Men’s Health, Mr. Palin insists his wife was far too busy prepping for her debate against Joe Biden to step into Saks. And, furthermore, neither he nor Sarah could give a "rat’s ass" about all the lavish threads:

She never went to Saks, or any of that stuff … You come into a campaign late, you put all your trust into the team, you got people who are working on VP ops for a long time, and we’re just focused on debate prep. I couldn’t give a rat’s ass about clothes. Please. I mean these are my Sunday go-to-meeting jeans!

Mr. Palin also sounded off on rumors that the McCain campaign was trash-talking his wife toward the end of the presidential race. While some may have called her a "diva," he certainly doesn’t blame John or Cindy McCain. "I mean, all the little negative stuff out there that’s been exploited? To me? I have nothing but respect for the McCains, because they’re a class act."

I love Sarah Palin!  I hope she runs for President in 2012.   That will certainly assure the Democratic Party remains in the White House.

Run Sarah Run!

He looks good in those  "Sunday go-to-meeting jeans" too!  They are a great couple!

Whether she runs in 2012 or not she is a hard worker and does  agreat job for her state and this country!

Sarah regarding Stevens case being dropped…boy does she know how destructive adversaries can be in destroying ones character…

""Senator Stevens deserves to be very happy today. What a horrible thing he has endured. The blatant attempts by adversaries to destroy one’s reputation, career and finances are an abuse of our well-guarded process and violate our God-given rights afforded in the Constitution. It is a frightening thing to contemplate what we may be witnessing here — the undermining of the political process through unscrupulous ploys and professional misconduct. Senator Stevens and I had lunch together recently at my home and he reiterated the faith he held for vindication; he never gave up hope."

Yes, those Bush appointed US attorneys really screwed up. Stevens is obviously guilty of abusing his office but he will go free because of Bush corruption.

And to quote Ms Palin: "the undermining of the political process through unscrupulous ploys and professional misconduct."  She has just defined ex- Senator Stevens/

Love ‘em Love ‘em Love ‘em……What a sweetheart guy.

The best is yet to come. And as I am one of many "cross-overs", others will tire of the deep seated hardness that becomes wearisome.

Oh how lovely….a return to wholesome innocence. It’s still out there-not perfect-but workin’ it.

Innocence?  hardly—Palin is ambitious in the extreme—hardly a babe in the woods innocence from that one.

I’m not a fan of Palin and I don’t think she will be what we need in 2012.  But the Media was relentless where she was concerned.  Isn’t it scary to you that the Media can have such power.  I think $150K for clothes is no ones business.  How about Nancy Pelose and her Jet Bills.  Rudi do you not think that Democrats take care to be very fiscal with our money?

I’ve said this many times before, but I STILL don’t see why Sarah Palin spending money for her wardrobe for national office is any different than Barack Obama spending money on ties, Ted Kennedy buying suits (ie upholstery), or any man, regardless of party affiliation, spending money to look good during a political campaign.

PLEASE!  Todd will support his wife, as any man should… what’s the problem here?  Sarah spent money to support a political campaign as any politician would… this is NEWS?  This is POLITICSWOW, you need to rethink your classifications of what is news and politics.
