What Is Dick Cheney Thinking? Peggy Rometo Speaks

Why is the former vice president compelled to defend the CIA interrogation policies? What does he think of the Obama administration? wowOwow’s Psychic Intuitive provides insight.

Former Vice President Dick Cheney spent much of his eight years in office working in private locations and away from the media spotlight. Now, Cheney has become one of the most outspoken defenders of the national security policies imposed under former President George W. Bush’s administration. As Cheney continues to remain a powerful voice about the need for the CIA’s use of controversial anti-terrorism policies, including the highly debated tactic of waterboarding, wowOwow reached out to Psychic Intuitive Peggy Rometo to better understand one of the most mysterious political figures.

wOw: Why is Dick Cheney spearheading a media campaign to sell his past policies to the American people?

Peggy Rometo: He thinks that it is his personal duty to protect America, and feels justified in defending his political point of view. The impulse to protect America is ingrained in him; it’s part of who he is. This mandate began during his time as secretary of defense under Bush No. 1 — and now, it’s become more than a position. It’s a core belief.

He likes Obama personally, and finds him a formidable political adversary. But he feels he's opening us up to danger ...

wOw: Do either Dick Cheney or George W. Bush have regrets about implementing torture in the past?

Peggy: Cheney has none. He feels adamant that he defended the country and did what was necessary to ensure the safety of America. Bush also feels no remorse, but he comes to this conclusion from a different stance. In essence, he sanctioned these policies because he felt they needed to be in place to protect the country from another 9/11. But as somebody who had very little experience with the military, he didn’t feel entirely comfortable with hearing the details. He was happy to delegate these decisions to Cheney and Rumsfeld, the military experts on his team.

wOw: What is Cheney’s relationship with Bush now?

Peggy: They continue to remain close confidants. Cheney still considers him a friend and ally, and feels it’s necessary to protect the office he held, rather than the individual who held it. He feels compelled to manage the press coverage of their past policies, which Bush is more than happy to leave to Cheney, his military expert. This works out well, since Cheney secretly fears that Bush would say too much or not articulate their position correctly, were he being grilled by the press. In the end, Bush is "over it."

wOw: How does George W. Bush feel about the media hoopla over past torture policies?

Peggy: Bush wishes it would all just die down, and doesn’t want to be in the hot seat on this issue. After all, he reasons, it wasn’t his plan; Cheney and his team formulated it, and all he did was approve it. Therefore, he sees Cheney as the natural spokesperson to field this conversation. Instead of focusing on yesterday, he wants the country to pay attention to what is happening today by being aware of current threats to our national security. But ultimately, he just wants everyone to let the whole thing go.

wOw: What about Cheney?

Peggy: He feels outraged that people are so naïve, and livid that nobody is giving him credit for having had the courage to do what it took to protect our country. He feels that people don’t have a clue about the threat we’ve been under, and that the administration purposely didn’t tell us everything they knew so we could sleep at night. Cheney is speaking out because he wants people to be aware of the intelligence that led to his policies, and he’d do it again. He wants Americans to wake up and be on guard. This is a personal mission for him; he doesn’t believe we may be under a threat, he knows it.

wOw: How does Dick Cheney feel about the Obama administration?

Chenney is on his save my rump tour plain and simple. They did wrong and he goes on television to try and justify. Bushco put our soldierds in danger. The blood of good young Americans drip from their hands. They were greedy and used good intentions to invade a country on lies. Iraq had nothing to do with anything but a Bush family vendetta.Chenney is evil.

Cheney is a strong and intelligent man that has stepped up to the plate and did what was right for this country, regardless of what the naive and clueless believe.

He is speaking out now, because Obama the naive has almost screwed up too many times on the defense of our Nation. Obama is all about the political polls and bends with the wind to save his poll numbers. Cheney will not this inept and inexperienced President throw this country into further harm.

Cheney is in NO danger himself. There will nothing done by the Obama administration over this ridiculous waterboarding of just THREE terrorists. Obama knows that it WAS legal, it WAS approved by over 65 members of Congress and that any more BS about it will just waste time and create havoc during a very real time of danger in this world.

Cheney doesn’t want for all of this hoopla over NOTHING to lead to further solfening and enabling of terrorists in this country or in detention. Cheney knows.

Obama doesn’t.

Cheney will not sit by and watch this country and its citizens be put directly in harms way.

Obama will.

The day will come when Obama will see the errors of his idealistic ways….

….after his Presidency has run its course.

Tell me Dick, what does it profit a man to gain the world and yet lose his soul.  You are an expert in this I’d say.

Kelly in Texas….your not well inform.  Cheney HAD his opportunity to speak up.  Where was he all those years?  Now, he’s got the loud mouth daughter speaking all over the place, who’s next? wife, grandmother.  Excuse me….he had his turn and did nothing only to secure himself with his private company how disingenuous of him.   George W. Bush and Cheney put this country where it is today.   It’s unacceptable how they turned a blind eye when top CEO’s were filling their pockets as they were walking out the door.  Where was our leadership then?

Those soldiers who enlisted in our military were proud to represent the United States of America in any endeavor their President Bush thought necessary to bring safety, security and a better life for the Iraqi people.   Saddam Hussein was removed and could no longer rape and torture his own people.

Hello SG:

I beg to differ. I believe that Chenney is a true patriot, who loves this country very much.(unlike alot of lefty liberals who are wringing their hands trying to figure out why the MUSLIM TERRORISTS hate us so much, it must have been something we did, or so the America-haters think) But I digress —Chenney truly believes that America needs to be protected. And so do I.

So BO can bow to Arab kings, but its not gonna make them love America. They hate us because of who we are, and that is nover gonna change.

Thank you VP Cheney for still speaking out about keeping Americans safe…your concerns are real and only time will tell what obamaco will do to keep us safe….I truly hope obamaco is listening to you….he should invite you to the WH and speak with you and heed his advice to what he knows.

Cheney is definitely a strong, thoughtful man.   His fears that President Obama appears "soft" to the rest of the world is a concern of mine.   We should all be mindful of the fact that Al Qaeda with their sleeper cells of terrorists in the United States are just waiting for the right opportunity to devastate Americans once again.

I’m glad Cheney is speaking out.   It proves how serious he is about the safety of our country.   He knows President Obama arrived at the White House with no experience….and that, in itself,  can retard his ability to get serious about potential terrorist attacks.

The Middle East respects strength in a country.   When President Obama apologized for America he must’ve made their day.

How do you figure he kept us safe when 3000 people died on 9/11 because of the incompetence of GW Bush who was warned something would happen and who ignored the warning? And then Cheney the puppet-master trumped up false intel on Saddam and the non-existent  Al Qaeda link, WMD’s  and yellowcake ore and got us into a war that should never have happened.  The Bushies created more terrorists that we now face than there were before 9/11.  Yeah that s.o.b. sure kept us safe. And in the process killed over 4200 Americans and who knows how many Iraqis. The man is a monster. Ronny Reagan at least got one thing right when he called Cheney and this ilk "the crazies in the basement." Direct quote that.

f p,

Did Bill Clinton,  a democratic president keep America safe in 1993 when the World Trade Center was bombed?       No, so  why didn’t he?

Did Bill Clinton, a democratic president keep America safe in 1995 when Timothy McVeigh bombed in Oklahoma City?

       No, so why didn’t he?

The terrorist attack was an unprecedented multiple attack on the United States.   Since that time we have not had another terrorist attack.    Thank you George Bush and Dick Cheney.

When President Obama is faced with a multiple attack from "sleeper cell" terrorists right here in the United States and he doesn’t stop it before it happens, what will you say then?   Will you call Obama a son of a bit**, too?

Deber….right on girl!!!  clinton had the chance to get bin laden….but he was too busy diddling in the WH….just google "while clinton diddled" and read all five pages of what clinton could have prevented….now that will make you very disgusted.

VP Cheney is doing what he feels is needed to wake up the obamaco and make them realize we are not safe with obama’s plans…..it was joey biden who said "grid your loins"…..he knows it too…and now that he released where the bunker is to hide out in, where will joey go….you just can’t make this stuff up!!
