I must relate a "stupid crook" story I read in the newspaper this AM.
It seems the crook broke into a house by using his ATM card. After he had looted the house he kidnapped a female living in the house. He called the woman’s husband and asked for money. When the police arrived at the home they found the stupid crook’s ATM card still in the door.
30 Minutes later the police arrested the idiot and took the "kidnapped" woman home.
Moral to the story — always know where your ATM card is! :)

The media has been fooling me! Shame on them! There is not a thing wrong with the economy. It isn’t true! Last Thursay, the dog show opened in Reliant Park ( Houston). People from all over the globe arrived with their pets that were entered in the events. Spectators arrived with their pets, too. Some were in strollers with the same sticker price as a Volkswagon Beetle. Others were dressed in $1000 collars. Some had on ballerina skirts. One had a purple sequined cape with " Fabulous Foxy" written on the back. Cute little satin booties on some. Elaborate dog carriers. The owners of these pets did not appear to be in the Imelda or Zha-Zha circle of owners either. Far from it.
If the economy is tanking, Fido and FiFi surely are unaware.

You haven’t been to the dog pounds in CA. No booties, no ballerina skirts, no collars, no clean carriers. Just a card outside the cage with a date when the poor dog will be killed.

I really don’t know how you folks figure that our country was not founded on Christian principles. Did you know that the Founding Father’s, when faced with no progress and infighting while trying to write the Constitution, took a break and went TOGETHER to CHURCH and PRAYED for 3 days. Then they started every meeting with prayer after their 3 days of prayer. Amazingly enough, our Constitution was written and agreed upon a very short time later….they had been at it for month before they gave it to God. If you look at our laws, they are based in the Ten Commandments. The language of the time was different than now…. when it says "we hold these Truths"…that is a biblical reference. Anyone that professes to be a Christian and then treats others poorly, is not practicing Christianity.
As far as racism goes….have you read the police reports from the incident in Cambridge? He wasn’t arrested for breaking into his own home, he was arrested for disorderly conduct. If I behaved that way to a police officer, no matter what race, I would expect to be held accountable as well. Just like when the co-worker I referenced, finally gets terminated because she is late for every shift, does not complete her work on time..sometimes not at al, others have to do it for her, etc…it will be because she’s black, not because of her own behavoir. There is a small group of black people that act like that….and 1 bad apple spoils the bunch. By the way, another black person that visits our department is appalled at and embarassed by her behavoir. He has even apologized to me for her inappropriate behavoir. It would not be tolerated from any other person. BHO inflammed to race issue yet again with his comment. If he doesn’t have a response fed to him by the teleprompter, he can not hide his true nature.

A Christian is one who believes that Jesus was the only begotten Son of God and who pledges to accept him as Savior. Many people have caused serious crimes in the name of Christ, but that shouldn’t reflect on those who are Christian. My journey as a Christian began over 50 years ago and I am still learning as I study the scriptures and become aware of my own frailties and how I grieve my Father in heaven because of my humaness. I keep trying to live up to my Father’s hopes and so most who are true believers.
And yes, I do know about the Gnostic’s gospel, about the Mithra and about Josephus’ books on that time of history. The books that are in the Bible were chosen by a large group who wanted to be certain that what was put in the Bible was accurate and written by the hands of God, for us. They had a test to add or remove books such as those you mention.
As believers in Christ each of us must search our hearts and read those mighty letters Paul wrote to the different churches he had established. I am better for being a believer in Christ but I do not say a believer in Christ is better than you or anyone else. We are all sinners and need to have forgiveness of our sins, to receive Jesus grace. That is what we read in the Holy Scriptures. I am not a right wing conservative Christian who listens to Limbaugh and others who use Christ to spew forth hate. I am so pleased that we now have President Obama in the White House. He is not right on everything but we need to give this dear man a chance and not jump on every thing that happens this quickly.

You have a chip on your shoulder the same as your black co-workers. It is not wrong to be a Christian. It is wrong to expect everyone to be a Christian. Jews and Muslims for example are not Christians. They are religious but are not Christians. Our country was founded on freedom to worship as one chooses. You don’t have to be a Christian. All religions are welcome.
It is not acceptable for anyone to make inflammatory statements - however some people make such statements without realizing they are doing it. You inflame some people by expecting them to change their religion to yours.
Have you ever considered that your co-worker who is black might be just an obnoxious person and yet you condem the whole black race.
Good job Stacy…they just don’t want to face it no matter how clear it is. We are a Chistian Nation that welcomes and accepts all religions and cultures.
America is a remarkable and blessed Nation.
You can’t have it both ways -either there is racism or not. The NAACP working to improve the lives of Black Americans by improving opportunties for advancement is understantable.
Rush Limbaugh preaches hate every day and is paid millions for it. Pat Buchanan is paid by MSNBC and other media outlets to preach hate. He talks tells Blacks , Hispanics and other minorities that white people built this country and fought in wars and died for the country not black people. He said he does not understand what hispanics are bitching about. He said Sonia Sotomayor is a dumb unqualified affirmative action judge.
You are always yelliing about whites being discriminated against and jobs are being taken from you. I find that hard to believe especially since you say they are lazy and on welfare.
