Laurel, I can only offer one comment about Bush’s deficit. I’d take it back in a heartbeat compared to Obama’s deficit that he will hand off to the next president. That’s going to be a whopper!

Deber - Fine you love Bush so much than you can start paying for all of his mistakes. I have a friend who has racked up a bunch of medical bills fighting in Bush’s Wars. He could really use some help since he also has two little kids to feed. Bush tried to kill him 3 times and he watched his buddies get blown to bits for nothing.

The deficit wont be that big because all the Bush tax cuts are going bye-bye. 2011 get out your hankies and wipe your tears away as you wave good-bye because Bush has gone the way of the Dodo and left nothing behind but a big pile of crap.

Laurel - acutally they did ask for McCain birth certificate and he turned it over right away - It took Obama a while to do so and I am far from being a "birther" and just b/c some dont think what we have been told is right does not make them racist…it makes them human and want to see his real birth certificate - which he obviously doesnt have b/c I would like to think if he does he would present it instead of paying attorneys to keep something hidden but he has chosen to later.

Laurel anyone on this site who puts down Obama or at least in the past and during the election was called a racist - you may not have been around this site that time but I was and it wasnt pretty. If anyone questioned anything Obama did or said it was b/c we were racist - there are still some on here that will call anyone who speaks out not in favor of everything Obamad oes or says is a racist…so its out there and its not all b/c of his lack of a birth certificate.

C Hardy, it’s all the democrats have to offer…once they say it they know it is a conversation stopper. I’m always amazed how some of the democrats seldom talk about the issues and go to bat for Obama policy. If there is anything to Obama’s certificate it will come out sooner or later. If Obama’s czars are proven radicals and have conflict of interest ties, it will come out sooner or later. Now that ACORN has been "busted" and Van Jones has gone down the tubes, all because of FOX News, then we can expect more information in the near future.

C Hardy Don’t confuse me with anyone else. I don’t jump on the race bandwagon like a lot of other people, but from what I have seen on here a lot of republicans do. I have never called you a racist and I don’t stereotype people. Why is it that because I’m a democrat now that means that I am. I was just bringing up some of the double standards of the republican party. BTW McCain only pulled out his birth certificate when a big deal was being made over Obama’s. I think if you want to question Obama go ahead. I questioned whether Bush had a brain for the last 8 yrs. All I want is for just one person to have a logical disagreement with something he has done besides the deficit. We have had a deficit for the last 8 yrs but now all of sudden its a big deal. Where were all the fiscally responsible Republicans protesting our growing deficit then? You guys were waving your flags, shooting your guns, and screaming about how Bush is so great. See that there is called hypocrisy. The only logical assumption most people will come to is that because Obama is black everything he does is a problem. The sad fact is if Obama had been a white guy none of this would have happened. So, no I don’t think you are racist, but I think attacking Obama for doing what he thinks is right could make others assume you are a racist. Why do you need to see his birth certificate anyway??? His mother was an American Citizen, Hawaii was a state when he was born, and since his father was Kenyan he probably had dual citizenship until he turned 18, and he chose the US. My cousin had to go through the same thing since her father wasn’t a citizen yet when she was born.

Deber, where in the Democratic party are the "birthers"? Where in the Democratic party are the "Obama is a Muslim" believers? Where in the Democratic party are the "Obama is a Kenyan" believers? Which party brought the comparisons to "Hitler, Stalin, Mussolini, etc." and the ideas presented by Obama compared to "Communism, Socialism, Facism, etc."? As to the military question, since you brought it up, during WWI, the Blacks of this country were not allowed to serve. During WWII, the various branches of the services were SEGREGATED. The Black units were led by White officers as they were not deemed capable of leading themselves let alone the Whites. They also did not have the same Veterans Benefits as the returning Whites as they were not deemed worthy enough for actual conbat. The only ones that saw any combat were the Tuskegee Airmen. If my memory serves me right it has only been in the last few years that they were recognized for their effort during the war. What the Citizens of this country need to recognize is that RACE is an underlying problem in this country and needs to be addressed. It is a problem whether it is Black on White, White on Black, etc. It stems from the economic status of people from all three races not to excluded the ethnic difficulties within each race. I personally thank all the people of my country that voted for Barak Obama because the issue of Race and the way we deal with it is now in the minds of the Citizens. We have a great need for improvement and now is the time to finally deal with a centuries old problem.

One bit of information for you. I was a History-Political Science major in College and a teacher for 36 years. I have always been interested in History, from early childhood and it continues today. Research is my joy, subject matter is of no concerned. I was taught my parents that learning was a lifetime activity and so it is.

I am signing off for now as it is my 70th birthday today and I need to go fix my birthday dinner—items that both my mother and father liked and reminds me of them and my family with God.

Kanye’s outburst and what he did to Taylor Swift had nothing to do with race. He thought Beyonce should have won and he expressed himself in a disrespectful manner. But then the big bottle of Jack Daniels he was chugging didn’t help him any. Deber you like to say that the Dems keep throwing out the race card, but then there is you, a Republican, who throws out the race card every chance you get. Hypocrisy is an ugly trait to have and it seems republicans have it in spades and yet you still wonder why you no longer have the White House or the Congress. Kanye was just another rude drunk and Beyonce made me finally want to buy one of her albums.

Laurel: I don’t believe Obama is a U.S. citizen. Does that make me a racist? Why? If you don’t like the public option, you’re a racist. If you don’t agree with Obama, you’re a racist. Throwing the word hypocrite around doesn’t work. It’s over.

Obama is the worse president this country has ever had or ever will have. A gay penquin could do a better job.

The public option (goverment run), healthcare is dead.

House Set To Cut Funding To ACORN

A day after the Senate voted 83-7 to cut funding to ACORN, the House is set to do the same today. Why the sudden turnabout and fortune change?

It has everything to do with James O’Keefe and Hannah Giles, who posed as a pimp and prostitute and got at least three ACORN offices to provide all kinds of advice on how to carry out prostitution, political activities, tax evasion, and other criminal acts while seeking to obtain a home through the organization. They’ve released a series of videos showing Baltimore, Washington, DC, and Brooklyn offices providing very similar advice to the couple.

ACORN had tried to claim that the Baltimore office was an isolated incident. That’s when the second video was released. When ACORN again tried to claim it was an isolated incident and that they fired the two Baltimore workers, the second set of videos were released showing the DC office. When ACORN attempted yet again to claim it was a setup and that the New York offices didn’t respond to O’Keefe and Giles, the third video was released showing the Brooklyn office providing the same kind of information as the other two.
