The Acorn workers and the tea party protestors look the same.   Morons - doing things that are not in their best interest.

While the politicians bicker and the greedsters cry for tax cuts we might lose some of our communities’ most valuable assets while they are more in demand and being more heavily used than ever:

Philly libraries could close due to budget impasse ~ http://www.libraryjournal.com/article/CA6696306.html

Michigan’s Department of History, Arts and Libraries is being eliminated due to budget cuts ~ http://www.crainsdetroit.com/article/20090713/FREE/907139978#

Chicago recently laid off 431 city workers - 120 of them were from the public library ~ http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/chi-library-disarray-05-sep05,0,6814854.story

All 27 branches of the Seattle Public Library closed for a week in an effort to cope with a $1 million dollar budget cut ~  http://www.examiner.com/x-1361-Seattle-Books-Examiner~y2009m8d26-All-Seattle-Public-Library-branches-will-be-closed-next-week

Oh, I’m so sorry to hear that. My small town library, too, is under duress. We can’t let them disappear — they’ve been so important to so many.

Yah, I think there are quite a few of us who are feeling this economy in very personal ways. I hate hearing that services we call chip in for have to be cut. I have no job, so I cannot pay taxes, which means the police and firefighters and librarians and on and on can’t be supported … It’s very hard. Best to you, Newzie …

http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/tea-party-protesters-march-washington/Story?id=8557120&page=1 The republican representitives seem to still be telling lies and spinning facts. Mr. Demint of South Carolina twist the presidents words. He is saying the president said if they disagreed with him that he would call that out. Mr. Demint you are a liar. That is not what the president said in his speach. Oh BTW protest numbers 60 to 70  thousand. Health Care for all! Let’s move America forward.

This is actually what he said (the President) If you misrepresent what’s in this plan, we will call you out. Being in disagreement with the President at times has been viewed as being misrepresentative (or lying ). Semantics my dear. BTW; I checked out both ABC News and CNN News this morning (since you and Barrett suggested that I do so) and this is what I found to be "newsworthy" at those sites: ABC: The Missing bride from Yale; H1N1; The NFL season; Latoya Jackson: Michael was Murdered; Jon and Kate; Gweneth Paltrow; An Offensive Ad about Hitler (their words not mine); and(Drum Roll please) Will Oprah Retire (Well, will she? Enquiring Minds want to know) CNN: Joe Wilson: No More Apologies; Serena outburst costs her the Open; H1N1 causes french to bid Adieu to kissing; Guy caught 41lb trout AND SNL star denies she was fired for being overweight. In the interest of fairness: Faux news was reporting all sorts of lies: Chris wallace on Joe Wilson (reporting the same news as CNN); Detainees in Afganistan given new rights by US; Congress poised for final health care battle; ACORN; Ivy League Crime Scene; Glen Beck: Corruption Quarantine (I’ll bet you support anti-corruption for conservatives and Republicans). I did as you suggested.

Blatantly lying is blatantly lying. That is what Mr. De Mint did.

I graciously disagree with you. It was not a blatant lie, in my humble opinion. But again, I am curious as to why you chose not to acknowledge the rest of my post?
By Scarlett Ohara Mitchell on 09/13/2009 10:58 am
S G
Frankly because it was immaterial to the conversation.
By S G on 09/13/2009 11:08 am

If it was immaterial then why did both you and Barrett use these sites as resources and even go as far as suggesting that we leave Faux News and join the "OTHER" news medias? I may be mistaken, I believe that both YOU and Barrett suggested tat we check these sites out.  It appears to me that it is only irrelevant when you have no reasonable response. LIES LIES LIES as a  repeated response does not seem to be substantive/material to me.
