Action! If you wrote and directed a film, which genre would it be?

Something along the lines of “Little Miss Sunshine” or “Gosford Park.” But “The Awful Truth” is one of my all-time favorites and something I would aspire to!

I wrote a movie script right after 9/11 that is a compelling drama about karma. It is written in the genre of the old Twilight Zone television show. A series of small stories intertwined into one. I submitted it to a couple of production companies and of course never heard back. To this day I honestly believe when and if I ever get back to shopping it around, it will be a movie that will win an Oscar someday. Wow do I sound cocky in saying that, but I have a strong feeling about it. Like Crash, it could be a film that has such a profound message, it would resonate with the world.

For me, it would definitely be “Film Noir”. It just sounds soooo sexy, no?
