Cindy McCain said, 'I don't think that spouses and family members ... are fair game.' Is she right?

I tend to agree with you, Dona. The choice of spouse and how the home / family is run is a sort of litmus test for a Presidential candidate’s judgement, character, and, in a way, management style. The First Lady is, afterall, a public figure, with a schedule and staff of her own, representing the United States in many ways and in many countries. After all, didn’t HRC use her time as First Lady as part of her “experience”?

Lorraine: Compared to BHO’s experience, 8 years as first lady is a lot.

You TOTALLY missed the point of my comment, Marjorie.

Hi Lorraine

Re your clear and thoughtful comment, it would seem the point was more misused than missed.

Hi Countrywoman. I’ve been wondering where you were. Good to hear your voice again.

Hi back at you, rocky rocky
I have been spending lots of time out in the Spa for the Spirit (aka the vegetable garden) so when I sit my overly-exercised self down in front of Ms. Laptop, I mostly read as opposed to react. Appreciate your voice too!

I still think that if every woman on this list who was called a name or disrespected by a spouse verbally or by the spouse’s cheating got divorced, there would be a heap of single gals commenting!

Star …. Isn’t that the truth? You are one of the few women on this site that I can believe is a real woman. Most of them seem to be composites of the woman we would want to be in a perfect world. And the WoW male mascot, Frank Peterson. Cannot be for real …. until I see him with my own eyes, I say he is someone, gender unknown, giving all the swooning women someone to dream about (minus the doobies!)

I find your post troubling or is it just my sensitive antennae catching whiffs of animosity. Women on this site composites? Not real? And Frank the male mascot that we women are swooning over and dreaming of? Geeez–––looks to me like you need to brush up on your people skills––maybe get to know posters here a little better. Or maybe–––a wee touch of humanity would be nice.

I agree with you Phyllis, I to find it troubling that Gianna would describe the rest of us who post on this site in that manner. Most of us have shared our Joys…….Heartaches……thoughts and caring about things in the Word and each other.. COMPOSITES? Don’t you think that’s a bit insulting..

Brush up on my people skills” and “a wee touch of humanity.” Wow, thank God you are a “sensitive” person, otherwise I would really be in trouble! If you don’t appreciate my sense of humor, I’m sorry, but I think you are way out of line saying those things to me. Don’t trouble yourself about being too sensitive; it doesn’t seem to be a problem. I, on the other hand, am, and so I will now go off to find my “humanity.” It’s one thing to disagree with someone’s opinion on politics or something, but you have a lot of nerve personally attacking me.
