I drink bottle water because, when I ran the day care center I had to get my water tested every year. The report always said it was drinkable. But I did not like the amount of Iron and some other stuff. Then at home I had my water tested and boy the Iron count. No wonder my dish washer was brown, and my washer machine could never get my whites clean. (I am allergic to bleach) Now in the home I am in in Jersey I do not get that awful stuff in my water, but I also do not get it tested. So I drink Poland Springs water. However I reuse I the bottles to put Ice tea in them because I do not have the strength to lift the pitcher.
In my community, the tap water is brown and I have never gotten used to it even after living here for 8 years. They say it is perfectly fine to drink, but it looks so unappealing.
My daughter recently explained to me how the rising rates of cancer are now thought to be related to the use of plastic in our drink bottles. She,and many of her friends have stopped using plastic. Switching to a filter can save approx.$500 a year for those who use bottled water.
I am on a well and my water is great so I wouldn’t buy bottled water - we have a bottled water company here that just turns the tap on to make their “fresh” water and their Town’s wellheads are in the watershed of the town dump so don’t assume bottled water is better for you - I don’t drink town water because I am so used to my well water that all I taste is the chlorine they have to use for the town, but the town water is fine to drink
Our town’s water is very good. So good, in fact, that our town celebration is called “Pure Water Days.” Granted it’s not as pure as it was 15 years ago, but it’s still very, very good.
I never spend money on bottled water. Most of the waters are
not what they claim to be.
I have had well water in the past and when i was using it had
a sample sent and tested. Since everything came back 100% aokay. It was safe to drink, cook with etc.
In fact, it was better tasting that the town water i now have.
The bottles of bottled water hurt our enviornment.
A qualified yes. Yes, if I have to. We live in an apartment complex and the water does not taste good to me, although I believe it is safe. As much as possible I drink bottled water. My husband cannot differentiate any tastes in water at all, and I’m not sure he believes me when I say there is a great deal of difference in the taste of waters.
I stopped drinking bottled water a year ago & drink from the tap. Also bought a stainless steel water bottle at a camping store, fill and put it in the fridge for daily use. I will not buy bottled water again!
I moved South and am always drinking tap-water. Has anyone experienced this problem? I am told that the blood is thick from living in the cold and needs to adjust. I carry water everywhere as I am a always parched person. I visited LA recently and found the water AWFUL and everyone had auto immune issues!
