I have never smoked dope. I’ve seen friends who had smoked so much that they became total idiots. It took them longer to speak and even then their scenteces didn’t make always sense. When they weren’t high they were always in a bad mood, when they were high they couldn’t think. That was something I never wanted to experience. Also I could understand smoking pot for pain management.
WHAT? had to be my response; never did, didn’t even know what it looked like, or smelled until 1981. I’ve seen 3 attorney friends lose their good judgement, and go on to be removed from the Bar, and others who faced similar losses smoking pot into their careers and out. Frankly, I was too busy with school and work to do much else.
Do I dare answer? Ask me if it should be de-criminalized, then legalized? If they can put a beer joint on every street corner then why not legalize pot?
Today’s pot is not the same as the pot that was available to me AND used way back in 1970. The last time I got stoned (1983 or so) I had ONE hit and got so damn paranoid, I vowed to stay away from the stuff.
Iam 52yrs and I still smoke pot. I live in Australia. I smoke it at night usually to relax . It is not a big part of my life but it is something I have done for a lot of years. I have stopped smoking at different stages of my life but now as I have got older I enjoy it>
I would not recomend it for everyone as it can screw up lives but I find it helps me to unwine>

There was a time when I thought I would be smoking pot well into my 90’s…but no longer. I came to realize that pot made me (in this order): stupid, hungry, sleepy. I may use it again when I get old(er) if I get cranky and don’t feel well physically. Who knows? I favor legalization of marijuana.
yes, i believe that in the late 60’s and early 70’s if we didn’t, we were often tempted! if it were legal i’d probably induldge in the activity again, but being in the medical field i’m at target for random drug testing! but yes it would help to mellow out at the end of a stressful day! i enjoyed it back in the day and i too believe that it does not lead to hardcore drug use, how many people are addicted to vicodin that their doc gives in a script? i agree with Tomblin it is the scenic route and a very relaxing one i might add! by the way it’s great to see Edith Ann back, my sister and i used to talk like she does, me probably after smoking pot! LOL Have a great and wonderful day ladies!
