Do you think Sarah Palin should run for president in 2012?

Hell No! But the rumor is if Steven’s wins and resigns, she will take his seat. But there are so many other Republican women out there who out-shine her on so many levels. I hope they take the opportunity to run also.

My hope is that Barack Obama will be running for his 2nd term in 2012 or if not him, Hillary.

I think she should run because then all the Republicans who have been supporting her in public and bemoaning her in private would have to come out in the open. She would be up against other Republicans in the primaries and they would expose her weaknesses tenfold. Let the Republicans do their own dirty work. After she gets beat up by her own party I expect her to really “go rogue” and become a candidate for one of those whack parties. Only then “will the real Sarah Palin stand up”.

The best thing that can happen to the Democrats now is for the GOP to decides that Sarah Palin will be their future flag bearer. Watch this: http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/Vote2008/story?id=6140030&page=1 For eight long years, I thought I would never see or hear anyone who could make George W. Bush appear / sound articulate, …”my friends” Gov.Sarah Palin has done it and then some, there must be a complete thought in there somewhere, somebody tell me there is!

Edwina— Sheesh, that’s painful to watch. Loved how Elizabeth Vargas squashed her with a smile on her face that thinly veiled her utter (and deserved) contempt. The GOP is spending $10K+ a week on a makeup artist, and $150K on new clothes. And my immigrant housekeeper with her freshly minted US citizenship/English is infinitely more articulate/likeable/and knows and cares more about our Constitution and national and International challenges. As a McCain staffer said “She’s a whack-job.” But it is fun to watch the GOP eat their “young.”

It’s hard to see four years into the future, but she’s the brightest star the Republicans have. The only problem is trying to overcome the inexperience factor. Four more years in Alaska won’t help much with that, in terms of people’s perceptions. If Palin has presidential ambitions, she might be better served to run for the U.S. House or Senate, and serve a term there. Then, no one could hit her with the “inexperienced” rap. As far as her conservative chops, she represents conservative values much better than McCain, and would be seen as much less of a flip-flopper.

Does that mean she will HAVE to do Meet The Press ? … I don’t see see it ! What is it about the Republicans that they think they can pick these know nothing governors with no curiosity, little intelligence, no understanding of foreign affairs - do they think we are stupid ??? Obviously they do, because it worked once, and look where THAT got us !

I’m more concerned about right now, today. Thinking about 2012 Presidential race is a waste of time. We need to work together to get this country back.

Back from the snooty, disingeunous, bullying income-redistributors? I hope this doesn’t become necessary, but if it does, I am here reporting for duty!

Amen to all (almost) of the above. Could anyone be more of an embarrassment to us than George Bush? She certainly would. Good thing that will never happen!! I would be embarrassed by her if I simply lived in Alaska and she was my Governor.

Sure… then we can totally reassure those “males” that believe women can never be “bright” enough to truly lead. Just what we need.

I hope not. She’s the Phyllis Schlafly of her generation.
