There are so many different stories out there about this lady…I read one story that said the house she lived in with her parents was originally a present from her parents but when they lost their money they had to move in with her…At this point I dont think this lady even knows what is true or not true about her life. I can say that if she had this many babies to have the life of the Gosselins or the Duggers then NOSHE should not be supported by allowing her children to be on such a tv show. If she did this for that purpose and from what her Mother has said, that is the exact reason why. The Gosselin’s and the Duggar’s did not have their children for that reason. If you read over the Gosselin’s website it gives you how their 6 happened and it was not planned, they did not want six…Oh well you do the research.
I am pro life but this is an extreme pro life. I dont believe in abortion to be used as birth control but I do feel this lady, whereever, she went had ever intention of having 8 babies.

C,
That has been the moral of my story, all along….A whole lot of triffle speculations, when we know only one thing, and that is this woman…… we are not!
They only profit because there is an audience . The producers of such shows would pull the plug if there the ratings were crap.
I would never judge anyone about giving children a loving home but there are so many kids out there who need parents, it would be nice to see something about a couple who open their hearts and homes to those children. I don’t know, to each their own.
The Duggers have chosen to have their children…are in a committed relationship…and support their children without government assistance. If they make money from a tv show, so be it. They show a loving lifestyle at home and it is a plesure to watch them.
As a mother of two, born two years apart, I feel for anyone who is raising many (3 or more, in my opinion) children. My motto was two hands, two kids. However, we felt that we could support two and give them a decent life. I am not against multiple births. I certainly understand the desire for a child, and that it would be difficult for a woman who has (finally) become pregnant to make the decision to selectively abort. What I do not understand is what this woman, Nadya Suleiman, is about. It seems that she is now looking for a big paycheck. Her own mother says she is obsessed with children. How can anyone even think (assuming that she does think, which is debatable at this point) that there would be enough time to give these children to raise them properly? Kids need you one on one at times and her kids will have too many problems to even think about. There will be developmental problems that simply come with the territory of multiple births, any possible amount of physical disabilities that may pop up, and then what about the six kids she already has? They will be pushed aside, not only by the births, but by the media, and the fact that Mom is racing off to visit with Oprah and Dianne Sawyer with the babies. If Nadya Sulieman makes enough to keep her off the welfare rolls she will mess up her kids. If she stays on the welfare rolls she will mess up her kids, and you and I will pay to raise them. I like kids. I do not love all kids. I teach them and I really am in their corner, but I do not want to pay for other people’s kids, be they the mistake of two 15 year olds or the non thinking Ms Suleiman. I have raised mine and am not interested in paying for the raising of any more unless my own were to get to it and give me a couple of grandchildren. I’d love to spend my money there. I also do believe that her doctor should have his license revoked. He is another non thinker.
I find this a weird question. I checked “yes of course” because this is america. it’s a free country. what.. are we going to regulate EVERYTHING? getting a book deal or a tv show is child abuse now?
sure I don’t want to have 14 kids. i think it’s absolutely nuts. but it takes all types to make the world go round. Now.. if she can’t feed, dress, get medical care for her children. if she is incapable of supervising them to the point that they are in harms way. ya… she needs to be intervened on. but the last I looked it was not illegal to have as many kids as you choose in the U.S.
Yes, Mommy, but we are all “mommies” to the world’s children. Of course people should do as they please, so long as innocent children are not caught in the crossfire.
I personally think that having children is a joy, but we should have no more than 2 … after that if you want more adopt. We need to set an example that we are aware that having more children impacts not just the family, but the world. The more we have the more we take from others. I know this message is not popular in America, but we need to set the example for the others. China had to limit their population to feed their people. This day is coming for us too.
Here’s what gets me about these “litter” births. I’ve heard more than one couple say they could NEVER consider selective reduction because GOD sent them these children.
I beg to differ with them. SCIENCE sent them these children. GOD already spoke when they couldn’t conceive without science.

Lorraine, I see no contridiction between what these couples and God say in this matter.

With all due respect….I beg to differ with your comment. God sent these children and God saw fit to allow them to be born and if she was unable, just as so many other women are…..God gave us the scientific methodology to allow for those that can not concieve “The natural way” The means to do so. Just as the parapalegic is offered the use of a wheelchair, rather than cast off as being unable.
If God sent these children, why didn’t they conceive the way God intended? This is accepting science as sent by God when it meets your agenda, but nothing to do with God when it doesn’t. Both IVF and selective reduction are medical procedures. They differ greatly from natural conception and miscarriage.
But, then again, I didn’t expectsomeone who thinks “a certain ultra-conservative author who shall not be named (by me anyway)” to see my point of view.

Lorraine that’s like saying, why do people get sick and take medicine….God didn’t send us the sickness but gave us the knowledge to create medicines to heal. God didn’t fail, he can heal various ways he can do it divinely , use medicines ect…He can use the natural way to get an egg and sperm to unify or he can allow IVF. Lorraine, think about it…it’s not about how the fertilized egg gets put into the womb, it’s the fact that the fertilized egg once in the womb, is able to implant itself to the lining of the uterine wall. That is what is from God, life. I’ll say it for you, the woman Ann Coulter is Brilliant…Love her to death!
