wowOwow reader Iris Odonata suggested today’s poll question. Thanks, Iris!

No, but I feel that early voting alleviates much of the time-related pressures associated with having to go to the polls on election day. I’ve long felt that the legalistic wording and logistical apparatus associated with elections was designed to help the Republicans win - they having the more “well-to-do” votes amongst their contingent, very generally speaking. The only problem with voting ahead of time is that it opens the door for more election fraud. Bush II would’ve never been president, had the Republicans not gotten away with dumping hundreds of thousands of ballots in the trash in Florida’s Dade County in November 2000.

FYI—-Bush got in via the Sarasota K. Harris’, via Fed law, Treasonous dumping of ballots, state-wide, not just the Dade (ie: ‘Batistan) votes. this year, even Sarasota, second only to Dade’s Reep populace, soundly fired her—-the woman came on, at election night, cocky as Palin—-certain her Reeps would applaud her clear fraud—-they did Not, but crushed her—-as the votes rolled in, you could see her simply fall apart—-her hair became a mess, she was trembling, in shock—-she really thought all Reeps ‘piggies-in-her-poke’—-wrong—-her political career is 100% Over. As it will be w/Palin’s—-logically, All Reeps may not be bad—-Sarasota proved that—- i voted early, and yes i know all ‘electronic-voting’ machine incs. are Reep-owned—-but they know, this time, the Heat is on, and no BS Fraud will be tolerated—-or heads will roll, as Harris—-so my crystal ball sees Obama at 8 years, then, yep, here comes Charlie C., Fla. Guv—-why—-i can’t forget seeing Charlie Rose’s 1st Clinton view—-Presidents just have that look—-Bush never had it—-so he stooped to ‘perhaps’ treason—-no other option. C.C., for a Reep, walks the walk, talks the talk—-he looks as a President, and acts as one—-and hopefully, by then, Obama will have cleaned this mess, and he will keep this political game honest—-

Yes, the polls are expected to be so crowded here in Houston, we have 2 weeks of early voting. And people were already voting at the rate of 5000 an hour last week.

Good to see Julia Reed of wOw on the “Today” show this morning with Meredith Viera, yapping at about the candidates’ wardrobes.

well, it’s a lady’s site—-and girls will be girls—-we should be happy they even let us in—-i rather imagine most would be happy in a penthouse (not a tree-house)—-and a sign on the door—-“NO BOYZ ALOUD”!’.

I’ve been voting by absentee ballot for a good number of years now. I had to laugh when I heard Mike Gallagher claim that early voting was unconstitutional because it’s called election day, not election month. Don’t know why I ever turn the radio on any more.

I am working at the polls so it makes it easier for me to do so. Voting in this country for too long has limited people with problems getting to the polls. This has been really helpful for many.

Early voting may someday get candidates to not hold back on any last minute “surprises” that they are planning. In Florida it’s like the weeks of listening to a hurricane approaching.

I always feel that “election day” is kind of like having to go to Bethlehem to get counted for the census. A bit outdated. In this day and age, when we can do our banking and buying securly online and have an audit trail of what we’ve done, it is hard to believe we can’t get our election under control. I voted absentee because I travel for business and never know if I’ll be in town or not. Seems like we should be able to vote and have a receipt to show how our vote was recorded so we know there is no fraud going on.

I don’t know why they don’t make early voting available in ALL the states. They have had record numbers of early voters here in Texas. I’m hoping that means a larger percentage of votes will go blue in our historically red state this time. I hate the idea of last minute surprises that can happen in the final days of a major election. I trust that Senator Obama has no sneaky tricks up his sleeve, but I can’t be so confidant about Senator McCain or Ms. Palin. So far, their desparate attempts to slander Obama don’t seem to be working. Marxist? Socialism? Joe Biden was right to laugh and ask his interviewer if she was joking. Does McCain/Palin think Obama is a Socialist because he wants to help the people in this country with SOCIAL Security, unemployment benefits, welfare, Headstart, college funding, etc., etc., ???? McCain / Palin are more like Bush than Bush himself these days.

My ballot is still sitting on the table in silent protest that my county no longer has any polling stations! it’s all by mail and it totally ruins it… I want to go to the polls dammit!
