I watched Obama’s speech on CNBC from my office and thought he was fantastic but the stock market didn’t react at all. It is currently down 197 points and going lower. I hope that this administration can gain the confidence of the investment community. I believe,if there is a chance, Obama can and will lead the way.
Hopeful.
Is it over yet? I haven’t been able to watch TV for two days.
For we who supported Hillary and feel she would have been the better candidate, the only good news is that Bush is gone. I cannot and will not acknowledge Obama as the president. No big deal. I lived with eight years of Bush that way.
I’m just annoyed that the Hillary bashing continues while the Obamabots ignoring it. You don’t really think Jill Biden “slipped” when she told Oprah the Enabler that Joe had his choice of jobs: Veep or SoS, so you? That was as cold and calculated as anything else this so-called liberal team has done. Expect more. They are worse than Karl Rove and Lee Atwater!
Annie,
I’m sorry you didn’t watch; you might feel differently. I did not vote for Obama…but I realized as I watched today, that we need an African-American president now more than we need a woman. This one day has bound us together and moved us forward. History will tell just how far forward.
I awoke at 5a.m. CA time. Blue jays, tanagers and a baby hawk were calling me to attention. Did the redwoods outside my door know this was happening? Did those very winged ones, noisely requesting breakfast?
Can’t say.
I just feel that, reverberating among all my neighbors, two handed, four footed, winged, branched and finned ones, there was celebration occurring.
The languages we speak may be different, the heart beat remains as one.
