We really don’t know Caroline Kennedy well enough to accurately predict how she might perform in the Senate, but we do know that her education has included a more extensive exposure to politics than that of most existing Senators. It’s obvious that she is intellectually curious. She’s a woman. She has integrity. I like it.

Until vacated Senate positions are replaced by voters - not Governors - our opinions don’t matter in the slightest.

NY would be very lucky to get a senator that is honest, intelligent, has name recognition the world over, has many political contacts, comes from a family that is experienced in politics, has done a lot of work to help NY already & is not taking the seat to grandstand but to serve—plus people love & trust her, & yea, she ain’t bad lookin. Every time she opens her mouth, people listen. How could you possibly get ANYONE better or more deserving than Caroline Kennedy?! Are you all nuts?!! Hillary & her people don’t want Caroline because she’s be a threat against Hillary in the next presidential race if she does a good job as senator. In 4 or 8 yrs.

And yet, no one bats an eye when a spouse is appointed to the seat her husband vacates… I would trust Caroline Kennedy’s political forbearance and instincts (from a family that bleeds public service) than I would another senator’s spouse… ANY other senator’s spouse (except for Hillary Clinton’s spouse).

I have to ask why she wants to be a senator now - after endorsing a person who was running against the woman whose position she wants. Hmmmm?

I think she would be great at it!
