So sorry-meant to say the Dr. said she wouldn’t follow her suggestions. And I know I used way too many parenthesis!

If the welfare of minor children take precedence in the Rule of Law, I think the answer is obvious.

Yes it is. Completely obvious.

With her children being wards of the State of California from already accepting aid, I think her choices are going to be second to the state child services.

How about a psych. eval. for the doctor that implanted her. They ought to pull his license.

I am shcoked they are being so secretive about him and what is actually being done to him, if anything?  I would really like to see an interview with him to see if HE really knew she had all those other kids or was she lying to us…Yes I am nosey & want to hear what the Dr has to say.  Would it change my mind about him, probably not, but I still would like to know what he was thinking, it obvious it was money related and nothing else.

Octomom: I Don’t Need Your Stinkin’ Help!! Friday, February 27, 2009 filed under: california octuplets

Octomom Nadya Suleman has said no thanks to attorney Gloria Allred’s offer to help her take care of all 14 of her children. Allred and the charity Angels in Waiting announced last week they wanted to provide 24/7 medical care, physical therapy, occupational therapy and a home for the octomom and her brood of 14.

Allred said volunteers and medical personnel would care for the babies morning, noon and night in eight-hour shifts … but gave Suleman a deadline of midnight yesterday to accept the deal. Obviously — she has not.

Allred and Linda Conforti, the nurse who the founded Angels in Waiting, had several a long conversations with Nadya on the phone and arranged a meeting to discuss the offer — and Nadya never showed. They say Nadya was more interested in "capitalizing on her family" and getting a reality show than she was with getting care for the newborns and her other children. When Allred and Angels in Waiting refused to help get her a TV deal, they say Suleman stopped communicating with them.

Allred says she’s already filed a complaint with the Department of Child and Family Services and she plans on following up.

I guess I should have put that bet down with the boys in Vegas sooner! I would have made a TON of MONEY

Mommy Dearest

Is it up to ME whether she get psychological counseling, my dears?  My goodness, I don’t remember even applying for that job.

Well, since it’s up to me, I say that it is not my business and I’d prefer to talk about something else.

Thanks for asking.

This is a complicated story.  I sense that something is wrong with Suleman-it’s just a strong feeling.  But my concern now is that her children are cared for properly. Fourteen innocent children did not have a choice in selecting their parents or living conditions.  Ms. Suleman needs a lot of help right now; my prayer is that for the sake of the children she receives support from those who are commited to the care of the children.  She also needs to limit or restrict their (and her) exposure to the media—it’s not helping the situation.

She is not insane and for all I know this is the greatest punk ever! Seriously, I truly think she is a "lost soul" of sorts and is trying to overcompensate for it. This is her 15 minutes of fame and even though she says she wants to be a "nobody" she is enjoying this. She does need help because she looks at the glass as half full and everything will be all right. No matter how good a mommy she thinks she can be the children will suffer. They are, after all, preemies and they always require special, maybe not now but who knows what problems arise as they get older. I truly hope this all works out for all concerned but Nadya had way too much help from the doctor. He needs to be stopped from doing this.

She is obviously a few steps behind the march toward mental health.  She has lost the cadence and routine of normalcy a long time ago.

What do you all believe is the definition of insanity?  It is not always a raving maniac who is out of control - sometimes it is simply someone who cannot make reasonable decisions and have objective ideas and thoughts on life, in general.  Not always comprehending what is right or wrong, does not  necessarily mean violent behavior.  There are shades of mental incapacity which could render her unstable in so many different ways.  Like’ living way beyond her means, living in a shabby place, living beyond her means, living in a way which is very unhealthy for her children.

Folks this woman is not all present, in the moment.  From what I have seen and heard, she is about to ship out to the ‘nether’ world.  What about all those children she is taking with her?

And, a note for those who are so quick to defend her —- why don’t you feel that same sensibility about others?  Like" gays and lesbians?  Is it really ok for a woman to put her children in harms way?  As long as she is not gay or lesbian? Distorted values, or what?

Is that what is being written, here?

Something struck me about this woman and the situation those children are in when I heard a local news story the other day. I’ve heard several stories of this nature in the last few years but never saw them in exactly this light before. It was a story about this man who had all of his dogs taken away because he had more of them in his house than he had room for.

When people are found to have a number animals within less space than is considered inadequate for their well-being the animals are removed.

In most states when families apply to be foster families one of the considerations is the amount of space per child that is available in the home.

I don’t think this woman would be allowed to have 14 dogs in that small house, but she can have 14 children with medical problems.

What that says and who it speaks to I really don’t know. I just thought it was an interesting observation.

Sorry, that should be "less space than is adequate"

I am unsure if she is insane, supposedly the most she was counting on this go round was an additional two.  I do believe she should have accepted the help from the angels organization, since the octo’s would be given the medical assessment they need and care, free of charge.

For several years, I worked in the field of child abuse. One of my jobs was to assess mothers, particularly mothers of fragile children, in the hospital to make sure that they would be going to a safe environment. Often, I also continued when they returned home to visit to provide support, education and assessment ongoing until we were sure that the parent (s) and baby or babies were safe and secure. Certainly this young woman and her 14 children need that!!!!!!!!
