I enjoyed it even it was entirely too long. The personal touches with former winners talking to nominees was good.

I also really6 enjoyed past winners introducing the ones up for best actor and actress.  That’s something I hope they keep.

But honestly I’m not into mocies much so it was fun…but…

"More show than biz." as Mr. Jackman put it.  I missed the movie clip montages.  I love seeing those.  It was so random about putting clips of older movies in, that I didn’t go for that, it didn’t seem relevant or coherent.  I think Hugh Jackman worked his ass off to pull off a good show, but there was a little too much show.  So many people passed away last year and I think it was a distraction for Queen Latifah to be singing when the tribute was going on.  I would have rather seen small clips of some of their best scenes, and for the industry exec’s just describe some of the work.  Everyone feels connected to the movies, and this felt a little disconnected.

Agree with your critique Frannie Em; still was a great show, but the format was a little confusing at times.

I didn’t watch as was busy working on a project nonstop from early this morning to now at 1AM, didn’t even stop to eat. Checked out Oscar info on a related website, was glad to see all my favorites won. Esp ‘Slumdog’, think that is hopeful for now. Love Sean Penn, glad he won.

I didn’t watch, but I was in Hollywood on Friday and actually walked on the red carpet in the Kodak Theater! The carpet was covered in heavy plastic and it was necessary to walk over it as the setup crew had a detour off the Walk of Fame into the theater. Not terribly glamourous, but fun.

One of the most dullest Oscars ever!!!  They predicted it was going to be boring…and they were so right!

What I liked best was Hugh Jackman’s opening performance.  That was one of the best I have seen in a long time.  I didnt sit and watch the whole show so really can’t comment.  I also thought the number with Hugh and Beyonce was nice…that outfit did not look very flattering on Beyonce but the performance was nice. I thought Heath Ledger winning was expected, wasnt too surprised over that one.

Haven’t seen any of the other movies so cant comment on them!

I watched the Wake Forest/Duke basketball game but flipped over to the Oscars a few times.   Unfortunately, Wake Forest blew it.

I was flipping between the AZ and ASU game  and  the Oscars myself. AZ lost - sigh.

Thought the show was so much better than in the past.  Now if they can just get winners to stop pouring out a list of names they want to thank … so boring for a TV audience.
