I grew up with Chevalier, I can still hear my Grandfather saying “does he think that he is a singer?” He was not popular in my household. He was a raconteur , said my mother. But then of course she loved Charles Trenet (until he admitted being gay).

All of those are good. I’d like to see the classic Mark-II lineup of Deep Purple reunite, the one that produced most of their great songs. The Beatles would be something, eh? I saw The Grateful Dead two weeks before Jerry Garcia died.

Moxy Fruvous. Their beautiful a cappella harmonies coupled with their snarky, intelligent banter… irresistible. I adore them.

How about Janis Joplin…but with a better band behind her. (I know it said bands but Janis was a band all by herself!). I picked the Supremes but if I had two choices I would have added the Beatles and …three ….Crosby Stills and Nash …..oh my gods the list can go on and on. Great memories on a very cold morning! Have a good weekend all!

Once time with a friend I watched amazing ax work with John Lee Hooker and his son in a Seattle tav on Broadway—absolutely stunning and the beer was good too :-)

If there’s a Rock N’ Roll Heaven they gotta have a Hell of a Band.

As a child born in 1957… the first rock band I ever became aware of was The Beatles and I found myself comparing every band that followed with them. None ever quite hit that mark.

The romantic music of the Delfonics would transport me back to first loves and coming of age.

The Smiths! At least they are all still alive, so there is a chance. My husband would love to see Oingo-Boingo, but Danny Elfman says there’s not a chance. But I believe Sting said the same thing, and lo and behold! The Police, coming to a theatre near you.

I think I want to add another. I would love to see Aretha Franklin back in about 1975. Let Stevie Wonder come on first, but then just get my diva out there. She just has what it takes. She knows what it is to be a woman.

Ah……the Rat Pack………Dean crooning …..Sammy dancing and mimicking the greats…….Peter pattering……..Joey mumbling one-liners…….and Frank holding court with a “scotch “(?) in hand……….Is my age showing ?????????? Further into the 20 Century I would love to see (hear) Neil and Barbra together and oh yes, the wonderful Liza…..Methinks my age is still showing !
