What’s My LIne? Isn’t that the one with Bennet Cerf, Dorothy Kilgallen, and other members of New York’s Intelligentia? John Daly was the host. I think I have the right show.
Diana — I recently re-discovered What’s My Line late one night on the Game Show channel. It was such another era — you forgot Arlene Francis who always wore that diamond heart neckless.

I agree. What’s My Line was among my favorite also. I loved Dorothy Kilgallen. But for fun, I enjoyed Ted Mack’s, Amateur Hour. Remember that? However, since it’s debut, my family has stayed tuned to Jeopardy. We loved it, and I once considered auditioning for the show.
I’m wondering. Because the show is so popular, I was curious why Jeopardy was not among the choices in this poll.
Dumb Dora was so dumb that when she got into the back seat of Harold’s car she said ” …. Oh, Harold, I had know idea you had such big …. ?”
Ok, Gang, fill in the BLANK …
:)
Yes, Jeopardy. Husband, daughter, son and I share this time together. Even now, when they return home, the song draws us to the TV and we all call out our answers. Final Jeopardy: we give each other time to consider before sharing answers. We give extra kudos when we know an answer and none of the contestants get it right. That’s our idea of competition…..that and golf.
I’m not the gaming type, but … You Bet Your Life … Jepardy tops ‘em all, love the categories all that trivia! Atsa nice, ‘cause at home I know the answers, but would fold like much used napkin if I was ON the show! (Loved Groucho - his was a goodie too ;+}
