Chris Broersma……………….yeah, this season is looking pretty exciting! GOGUBBIES! My son is an Astros fan (I guess because he was born in Texas). He can’t stand how good the Cubbies are doing right now, so when I get the highlights off of Sports Center, I send him text messages with the details!
No, I mean that life is spectator sport. After all, people are social creatures and watch each other like hawks. Have you ever watched a slow train wreck? I mean when a drama (out of your control) was about to happen? You may not have had a role, but it unfolded in front of you and you were a spectator.
The Olympic trials have been covered beautifully. The swimming is so exciting and the stories of the athletes have been interesting and colorful. The tennis is also exciting this year but I do think it is better if you play the sport.
Good one, LilyOTV. Last night I though I had lost my avatar……that word reminds me of unicorn for some reason. Then I noticed that no one’s avatars were visible, only pink squares. I thought Maurice Chevalia was going to boom forth with, “Thank Heaven for Little Girls,” inappropriate for this site. Today: the return of the avatars.
Peace and grace
Tennis at Wimbledon…we were glued to the television on Sunday to watch
the best match ever between Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal. It was
superbly played, the best ever, both men gave their all and finally Nadal, the winner,
brought tears to the eyes as he climbed up to embrace his parents, and
then John McEnroes interview with Federer which he had to finish as
tears were coming to Federer as well, me too…Both men showed great
gamesmanship complimenting each other, it was refreshing to watch,
both gentleman is all I can say.
