The best part of Thanksgiving to me is…being with friends and family, no one expects any gifts, no pressures to have a perfect day….just everyone enjoying being with one another. I LOVE Thanksgiving.

I’ve never been a “Family Person,” but on Thanksgiving, they’re whom I want to be with. It’s always been my favorite holiday. One reason is that anyone and everyone can participate, regardless of your religious beliefs. I’ve always had problems with my family about religion — I chose to reject the one into which I was born and chose another, and they vehemently disapproved. But on Thanksgiving, we all share the holiday. The food is always good, too.

Holiday pay. I know how selfish it sounds. However, I belong to a family that, except for my older brother (who lives overseas) is usually very “warm & fuzzy”, & gets together often. Thanksgiving is just another day, although with a different menu.

I’ll be working. Serving my guests at a beautiful resort in the South. The weather is gorgeous, spirits seem high. Then when I get off I am going over to friends to eat, drink, and relax.

The food…even if it’s peanut butter and jelly…it always tastes better when someone else makes it!

The Great Feeling that everyone is celebrating this TOGETHER crossing all faiths and beliefs. The good feeling in the air that the entire country is celebrating our freedom together.

My Thanksgiving was wonderful with QM’s friends. We ate too much, and brought home left-overs. But the very nicest part of the day was when we were all saying goodbye. As we were all hugging one of the couples whispered to me that they would give me a kidney if they could. They had lost their only child to suicide several years ago, and all the Bridge Broad Group rallied around them. So when they said that, I thought their offer was the most selfless and generous act imaginable. I have a lot to be thankful for. CA

I had a wonderful Thanksgiving. It was a great day with lots of people and my sister-in-law had just had a garden redone and the atmosphere sitting in it was wonderful. Cool outside with a beautiful sunset. Lots of energy with kids of all ages running around and having fun. Many played piano so every so often someone would sit down and play some great tunes, sometimes someone else would sing. Each child took a turn showing off their chops. It was potluck so a great chance to try different dishes. No one got upset, we kept it casual and everyone exchanged recipes. Met some really interesting people. I was grateful my sons were there.
