Which of the following has the biggest stigma associated with it?

Oh how we love to pigeonhole people and then sneer at them! I think older people who are struggling with illness, really anyone struggling with illness, but especially older people and poor people, are the most stigmatized. No one wants to hire them, people get impatient with them, people even make awful remarks about them; I see this all the time. Funny how we all laughed when we learned of India’s caste system while at the same time we were so studiously building one in the USA. Our society has a great deal of maturing ahead of it. We need to lose the stigmas, live within our means, stop putting our military forces in three fourths of the nations on earth, and take care of one another.

Is Frank back? or an imposter? As Diana stated it depends on where you live. I live in the South, enough said. I even have a son in law who thinks Palin can save us.

Save us” from what?! Conservative talking heads and columnists are even calling for Palin to step down. They’re saying she can just say she needs to focus on her infant… funny, weren’t they just recently feigning “outrage” when people suggested that it would be impossible to do the job of VP without neglecting her 5 children, especially when they include a pregnant teen and a special needs infant?! Check out this column by conservative, Kathleen Parker, in the Chicago Tribune today: http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/columnists/chi-oped0929parkersep29,0,…

where’s the “none of the above” choice?

I also vote for the “none of the above” catagory, also. So who should care how other people live their lives as long as it does not harm others? Living in North Carolina, I know there are many who take it upon themselves to decide what is a right way to live and their decisions are based on their religion. What I do not understand is how some folks believe they know what their God wants and thinks. How many have ever had an actual conversation exchanging and discussing ideas with their God?

Gee, Carol, you’d have to ask Bush since he obviously has had many conversations with the man upstairs or as he so artfully put it, to a “higher Father.”

Yes, his god told him to go into an illegal, immoral aggressive oil war against a tiny country to butcher and displace its citizens, destroy its infrastructure, steal its resources, and depleting ours while doing so. That’s some kind of god he has there.
