Lorraine………None - Watched the show once — thought it rather silly and that all the characters were air-heads.

Lady, I think sometimes the 8 million in NYC forget that the other 220 some odd million of us can’t exactly relate to them. I’m younger than the main four (not much, but still younger), but I ceased being single in my early 20’s, so I never lived that kind of life, even when I lived in a large city. So when the show came out on HBO, it didn’t appeal to me. Of course, I haven’t related to a character played by SJP since Footloose, so…

It’s so funny how everyone so far has said none and I say ALL of them comprise me. Mostly Carrie, but I felt I was little bit of all of them! They so captured that era, in everyway. And I know all my friends feel the same.

None of the characters ! I watched a few episodes but thought the characters were too whiney, needy, made bad decisions and were way to promiscuous ! They didn’t seem like real professional women. What jobs did they have to be able to live the life style they lived ? Guess it was a fantasy that I didnt get.I was single at the time, I didn’t live in NY City but it was nothing like my life. I think the sucess of the show was a surprise to the characters.

Maxxine - I can understand that, but if I had to pick one or a type, it would have to be none.

As someone has said before me, sorry, but I have not watched the show, so cannot imagine which I would be like. I don’t even care for the name of this program! Was it meant to be inviting or enticing?

The title was the name of a column in a NY paper. It was a column about relationships.

I haven’t a clue - I only watched the show one time. It would be easy to say that I don’t relate to the characters because I’m a 60 year old retiree living in the foothills of California, but there are lots of shows that have no relation to my life and I still enjoy watching them. I just didn’t like this one.

I loved the show, and I must say I think I am a bit of each one of them.

I loved the show too, but I would still like to hear from the women on Wow who voted for Samatha.

I’ve never seen it. Don’t plan to see the movie, either. I’m sure you all know why. :)

I’d rather talk about the dynamics of the one woman (Kim Cattrall) who held out for the pay she deserved and the peers that ganged up against her (even though her negotiations made them richer too). Discuss.

Is this really relevant to the philosophy of WOWOWOW.com? The characters from Sex and the City have few, if any, relatablity… but then again the perceived dominant ideology in defining womanhood seems to be based on a woman’s sexuality… We are worth so much more than a lot of images Hollywood equates as “us”. Now if you were to ask which Facts of Life character would your friends say you are most like? That would seem to evoke so much more.
