I remember dropping my jaw when he told America that GW hated Black people, but to compare that to James Dean? James Dean was the ultimate rebel. Today there are so many TV shows about teenage angst, but none compare to the talent that was James Dean. I thought about the famous “Brat Pack” of the 80s as possibilities, and still could not think of anyone who could come close to Dean. Rebel and East of Edens left such an impression on me because of Dean’s performance.
