You have cited a miniscule amount of data, nothing substantial. Two or three miscreants do not extrapolate to an entire group of people numbering in the millions. Are you absolutely certain no one supporting McCain has done the same thing? Your neighbors have the right to chant or whatever. If they were in violation of local noise ordinances, you should have reported it. Just because you don’t like their political choices doesn’t make them creepy groupies or abrogate their right to express themselves. I think the “aggression and groupie fixation” has blossomed in your perspective far beyond what is really there. I’ve seen nothing so far that surpasses the mania for JFK back in 1960. Exactly how has Obama’s campaign been sexist? Exactly how were votes tampered with? When was the race card played? From what I’ve seen, Obama has soft-pedaled race a great deal though many others have jumped on it. Exactly whose reputation has he ruined and how did he do it? Changing one’s mind in light of more information is not flipping. I would far prefer someone who can make a seriously considered change due to updated data than someone who is too obtuse to realize that his or her position needs to change because it is no longer valid. Exactly how has Obama played dirty? Does this mean the half-truths and innuendos promulgated by the McCain/Palin camp are clean? And I mean that folderol about “palling” around with terrorists which has been pretty well debunked. So what if he’s on TV or has weekly fireside chats? There’s nothing new or inherently wrong in that. In fact, it’s preferable to being kept in the dark. Weekly exposure would leave the president, whoever it might be, open to public examination which is ultimately to everyone’s benefit.

i have not forgotten the primary which set the stage for how I shall forever view this candidate. his inner essence was revealed. i’m aware that much of america has the memory capacity of gnat - looking for only the most recent gotchas - but i see this man as the whole and am not impressed - and i do not need to list the incidents of sweetie sexism and caucus vote tampering, and geraldine ferraro smearing, etc., etc., etc. no matter how many $10 words you try to pack your post with.

In other words, you can’t support what you posted which makes your accusations empty, petty and meaningless.

No where was Obama directly or even indirectly accused of sexism or racism. Again, misunderstanding and misinterpretation.

No one said that Obama was doing these things. No one even implied it. It sounded like there were errors and screw-ups, much like in Florida in 2000, but that doesn’t mean there was vote tampering, nor does it mean that Obama had anything to do with it. There were questions but no accusations of vote tampering. The anonymous report about schoolchildren being bussed somewhere to vote is pure poppycock. No one under the age of 18 can vote. In most states, they have to be registered and usually ID is checked to verify age. This is a real stretch but one can make that stretch if one is determined to misinterpret, misunderstand and mislead.

Deb, I mean Sylvia… what is your opinion of a candidate who lobbies heavily to ensure that two states in America don’t get a chance to have a legal revote that would allow them a fair say in who becomes the nominee? What is your opinion of a candidate who uses technicalities to ensure that people don’t get a vote? If this candidate was John McCain would you feel he was a good leader who you wanted leading the nation?

Well, I have seen a lot of videos of these youngsters (living at home or going to college on their parents’ nickel) blabbering over how they love Sen Obama. That weird group-sing video—did you see that one? I know they have used their considerable cyber skills to crash certain websites. They post repulsive sexual threats aginst former Dem women now for McCain. I have ogtten them. There is an ugly atmosphere around this—some of it here, too…though I continue to flail. They could well uproot a sign, though they might have to move away from the keyboard, as Suzane says, to do it.

I agree with many voicing the opinion that Palin is not ready for a VP job. She looked like a cheerleader who was prompted and coached for her time on the court. She was not a professional with years of experience, she was and is a light weight and with her running mate of 71 years of age, her “cheerleader” persona and obvious lack of need to address the issues directly along with absolutely no clue of what she will be up against in the presidential office. The thought that she would have “more” powers than Cheney is horrifying! He was bad enough….I am a independant, but, as a american and a woman I want a intelligent and savy woman to represent our country. The woman is an embarassement! The republican party should be ashamed!! I can’t imagine all women who believe in the basics of the republician party are this inept! Agh! Biden and Obama, should not have a difficult time with this. McCain has hired himself a “little woman” to do as he says and let him run the show. If you saw anything else on that stage, you need to have a trip to the eye dr.’s! quickly, With all of the extremely intelligent and capable woman in history that have governed all over the world, to think that we selected that is such an embarassement! From Margaret Thatcher to Goldia Meier and Indera Ghandi (forgive me if I have misspelled any names) These woman would be shuddering if their country had produced this woman….Recognize her for who she is….a woman with limited experience and not the “balls” and knowledge or capacity to handle a presidential office. Hillary and Fierro must have been stomping around with frustration at her ineptness and then laughing at the attempt of the republican party to pull this over the countries eyes. The only woman McCain is going to listen to is Cindy…..The woman with the jet and money!

Cindy inherited money, invested well, uses her jet to fly to hot, filty, disease-infested places to help disfigured kids, looks fabulous, and has adopted kids and seven dogs! I tend to favor people with animals.

St. Francis would probably have liked her too. [I believe he just had a birthday on Friday.] But one can respect and even like someone and not find them suitable for a particular office. Now Cindy is not running for anything. When the Field poll called me they asked me about her, and I told them I had no opinion as she was not the candidate. They asked me four more questions to try and find an opinion I was hiding, but really, what is the point of having a contest of first ladies? Cindy also has her shortcomings.
