Oh, Phyllis—sorry you couldn’t see the eye roll and catch the sarcasm in my message. I was feeling quite “peckish” this morning. The basics of this remark is that I was going over my absentee ballot this morning and there, yet again, was Ralph Nader’s name. Sorry I upset you.

You didn’t upset me in the least, but I did think you were serious. That’s funny––––guess I missed your peckishness which somehow never found its way over here where if it landed would have been fed a lovely breakfast out on the terrace where the squirrels would have taken it and run. So much for early morning astuteness.

Patsy, our country is simply not capable of thinking out of the box. Dependence on a titular authority is part of most Americans DNA, I fear, so to dare to work together to support someone who isn’t in the mainstream of authority (the 2 parties) is not possible right now. I can only hope who ever is elected will have the intelligence to see that Nader can implement the health plan for us overnight. He said he was ready to do it, and I believe him; he’s been part of my social consciousness since the early 60s; each time I sat and listened to him was 100% better than the time before. It’s a crying shame we still have to be led around by our noses.

I wasn’t going to watch it since I have already voted, but my wife suggested we do, so it’s scheduled on the TiVo.

Other,” dahlings. Bon apres-midi. Making sure my guests have fresh martinis or cosmopolitans, delicious hors d’oeuvres and are enjoying the witty reparte of dear friends - who use their intelligence and devilish charm to make their points. So VERY tired of repititious name calling and enless tirades, dears. Prefer to mingle with those with good humor in these times, my dahlings. Both of these men provide PLENTY to laugh at, don’t they dears?

Oh, I HAVE to watch. This could be the night we see McCain do his Rumplestiltskin Dance…even if he is sitting at a table. I’m just sure we’ll see it happen, I just don’t know when, so you betcha. I’m gonna stay tuned.

How could you not watch this debate. With the disaster our country is in tonight is crucial in my mind. Patti S

Yes, I will watch. I just love seeing McCain getting his butt kicked!

Other” I’ll be splitting my time between the 1) NLCS Phillies vs Dodgers game 5 - Go Phillies!!! 2) The Project Runway finale - Love Tim Gunn 3) A bit of the debate. I’m thinking about playing a drinking game with my husband based on whether or not John “The Maverick” McCain bests his last performance roaming around the stage. I’m a lightweight when it comes to alcohol so my husband would likely win this debate ;) Go Phillies!

I will watch…kind of. I watched the last and got so angry that I have to simply watch a little and little to the rhetoric afterward.

Post-debate - Why did that not surprise me (above McBlame calling Sen. Clinton)? Yawn. He cannot think on his own 2 feet. Did not watch the debate - heard enough of it, though. Same ole, same ole. yawn.
