At this point I am so sick of the B.S. I can’t stand either one of them!!! NO one has given us any facts yet—plans etc…. I am going to put on a blindfold and just go pull a lever I swear! I quess Mc Cain is the only one with experience so he gets my vote just for that reason.Obama will be around a long time.

I am very sorry to report that our election in Canada last night was not the outcome I expected. Our conservative party (equal to Bush/McPalin) got in AGAIN. They held an election with 5 weeks notice based on the fact that they were a minority government and wanted to try again to get a broader base. It didn’t really work because they spent 300 million in 5 weeks on the election and only gained one more seat in the entire country this time around. However, they are back. I hope and pray that this is not a harbinger of what is yet to come in the US. I will be watching the debate up in Canada with all fingers and toes crossed. Bless you all.

Yes, I will be watching, listening and pondering ……. But because I have the ability to multi-task ……. I will also be thinking of Jenny the Elephant …… the circumstances she finds herself in that are beyond her control …….. that she never asked to be in ………. nor were these circumstances of her own making ……. We are fortunate to have choices ………

I will watch, but I’m hoping the debate will be a little less…how can I say this… beige? lackluster? bordering on dull as dirt? Forgive me, but I want to see some passion out there. Although this possibility seems highly unlikely since they both seem to be playing it pretty safe.

I cannot stand to see or hear McCain for one more minute. I could listen to Obama for hours. The Repubs have gotten so dirty and nasty it just makes me disgusted and I can’t stand to read it in the paper or see it on TV! Got our ballet books in the mail today - yippee! Our early voting starts Saturday - can’t wait.

Well, let’s just start with, first of all, um, by what standard could you possibly call that nonsense a debate.

Well I do think John McCain has mastered the smirk, the sneer and the flashing eyes. [At times he looked overmedicated.] I know he was trying to be aggressive, to put Obama on the defensive, because he looked so delighted every time he got Obama to “explain” something. McCain knows that there is nothing inappropriate in Obama’s acquaintance with Ayres; he is just using that as a way to get Obama off message. In general, McCain threw out fewer gaffes than he does in his typical stump speeches, but I did get a kick out of OGovernment, which may be his campaign’s nickname for what we will get next January. Watching it on CNN, with the focus group responses was interesting, if only to see the gender gap on issues. Ever since the League of Women Voters stopped giving the debates, on the ground that the major parties were forcing so many conditions on the debates that they were no longer debates, they have not really been debates. In fact, the only mystery is why on earth Ralph Nader wanted to be included. None of the four debates was a proper debate. But of course, that is part of the problem. I went to a debate watching party that was wonderful in that people would hoot and holler at appropriate times. It made the whole thing more enjoyable.
