A 13-year-old boy from Britain, no taller than four feet, has fathered a baby girl, The Sun reports.

New dad Alfie Patten and girlfriend Chantelle Steadman, 15, had sex just once, says Alfie’s father, Dennis, but that’s all it takes.

While dad admitted the boy doesn’t understand the enormity of his situation, he says his son seems desperate to be a responsible and devoted father. "He could have shrugged his shoulders and sat at home on his PlayStation. But he has been at the hospital every day." Well, we suppose he has a point.

Baby Masie was born on Monday and released with her mother from the hospital yesterday. The Sun reports that they are living at the mother’s parent’s house — a rented home where Steadman’s jobless fathers and five brothers also live, on benefits.
