Michelle Williams Misidentified by the Associated Press

News is spreading that the father of "Brokeback Mountain" actress Michelle Williams is being extradited to the U.S. and sources such as the Huffington Post are sourcing the Associated Press. Meanwhile the AP is using an image of the wrong Michelle Williams. There are two famous Michelle Williamses: One is an African American R & B singer; the other is the fair-skinned "Dawson’s Creek" beauty who has a daughter, Matilda Rose, with the late actor Heath Ledger.
Apparently, the AP confused the two.
In the last graph of the AP’s story they describe the right Michelle Williams: "Michelle Williams received an Oscar nomination as best supporting actress for her performance in the 2005 film "Brokeback Mountain," playing the wife of Heath Ledger’s character. Ledger, who died from an accidental prescription drug overdose in January, is the father of her three-year-old daughter Matilda Rose, Larry Williams’s granddaughter."
Anyways, here’s the story: Larry Williams, 65, who resides in Australia, is returning to the Unites States to face the IRS regarding tax evasion charges. Williams — a well-known stock trader and author of finance books — has been fighting extradition since an arrest in Australia in 2006. He’s since been free on bail and living in the Outback. Williams may reportedly owe $1.5 million in taxes from book royalties and earnings from international seminars between 1990 and 2001, the AP reports. Williams is reportedly flying to Los Angeles tomorrow, saying, "I will fight this and win."
The story first surfaced in Australia’s The Daily Telegraph. They seemed to have identified Michelle and Larry Williams correctly. According to Wikipedia, actress Michelle Williams’s father is, in fact, a successful author. And here is Larry Williams’s website where you can see videos and pictures.
