Funny Lady Amy Poehler Returns to SNL – Just 6 Weeks After Giving Birth (Video)

By The Staff at wowOwow.com

Just six weeks after giving birth, Amy Poehler cleaned the drool off her shirt and stashed away the breast pump to play her flagship role on "Saturday Night Live" — Hillary Rodham Clinton. In a surprise appearance Saturday night on the sketch comedy show, Poehler reprised her impression of Clinton during "Weekend Update" with Seth Meyers.

"You thought I was done, didn’t you?" said Poehler as Clinton. Clinton, who was sitting (to hide a post-baby bump?), went on to convince herself that being Obama’s secretary of state was just as rewarding as being the next president. Then, Darrell Hammond as Bill Clinton interrupted and rejoiced that the political power duo is back in the spotlight … and that the nation will soon be governed by an administration that closely resembles his past staff. Watch:

Poehler, who is married to actor Will Arnett, gave birth to Archie Arnett on October 25. She announced she would leave her "SNL" post at the end of the November election to give birth and it was reported that she wasn’t going to return. Instead, she’s scheduled to appear in her own TV series, a spin-off of Steve Carell’s "The Office." But with Clinton as the nation’s soon-to-be secretary of state, we hope Poehler will be inspired to make more guest appearances.

Amy was so funny! SNL just won’t be the same without her on the show.
