I was one of the people that called to protest her appearance. We do need criticism of govt but we don’t need more hate mongering by this Republican shill masquerading as “commentary”.. She’s the Jerry Springer of journalism & hate like hers was never tolerated in main stream media until Republicans came along to push her on us—-she would have stayed on some skin head show. The Bush era is over & so is she.

I suppose if Franken wrote a book…he also would not be welcome on the show? He is a commedian as well! She is a New York Times BEST selling author whether you agree with her take or not!

Let’s dream that she froths and foams. Let’s pray she calls liberals “gays”. Let’s cross our fingers that she calls the President-elect an Oreo and his wife a bargain-basement Jackie Kennedy. And then let’s fervently hope that all those who like to describe Coulter as a “humorist” see her for the Joe McCarthy-knockoff she really is. Carnegie Hill, you speak poetry. Yes, as Americans, we do have the freedom of free speech (First Amendment), except to cause harm. That is to say, no one is allowed to scream “Fire” in a crowded venue that creates panic. It is clear that La Coulter is a breed apart and she like her far-right hate mongering contingent haven’t done anything to keep “hate-speak” in a abeyance for the last eight years. She’s a best seller all right but it’s only because of the concerted effort of the Republican machine to purchase boxes of her hate-filled venom and give those books away to libraries and conservative think tanks. This era of hate mongering will one day in the future, OMG I sound like GWB, will one day be exposed for the harm that it has caused this country. Spreading deliberate misinformation is not one of the precepts of journalism and Coulter is just a hater, pure and simple. Note: The Second Amendment is the “Right to Bear Arms” not freedome of speech and religion, a concept that many have chosen to forget.

Belinda, I am afraid you are right. I had mixed emotions about an outright ban. I just can’t stand her. She will make money but it all comes out in the wash. The mood of the country now is not with her and I hope it never will. What a horrible country it would be.
