Did Ann Coulter Sway Lefties Her Way During Joy Behar Interview? (Video)

By The Staff at wowOwow.com
Joy Behar and Ann Coulter on "Larry King Live"

Ann Coulter may have swayed some lefties her way last night insisting to Joy Behar that conservative women have more orgasms than liberals.

Behar, who was subbing for Larry King on his eponymous talk show, drilled the controversial political activist Coulter on a wide range of topics, including prodding her on why she says in her book Godless that conservative women reach climax more than liberals …

Behar: Is it because Republican women have more money and so they’re more relaxed, is that what it is?
(LAUGHTER)
BEHAR: Or they can afford better vibrators?
What?
COULTER: It’s because they take it more seriously.
BEHAR: Oh, they take it more seriously. I thought you were supposed to have more fun in bed?
COULTER: Yes. But you’re not supposed to be in bed constantly and with every Tom, Dick and Harry, including the guys with the electric cars.

Behar questioned Coulter on a number of hard-hitting subjects as well — including her feelings on Rush Limbaugh as the voice of Republican Party and her opinions on President Barack Obama’s stimulus package. The democratic co-host from "The View" even asked her if she thinks Americans hate her.

The heated interview lasted 18 minutes with back-and-forth tongue-whippings … Both women certainly shared fascinating opinions but the most interesting bits were by far all the talk about sex. Why in the world did it go there?

Watch the the interview below in its entirety:

Or — if your in a hurry — just watch a clip from the interview where Coulter explains why conservative women achieve more orgasms than liberals:

I found it humorous.  I think they each helped each other out in the controversy department.  The interview will be youtubed and repeatedly watched and then people will take up sides- just like here- and the controversy will gain more life, there will be a million interpretations, and everyone will have to put their two cents in about two women from opposite political parties who don’t do much but talk.  Conservatives will let Joy’s long "needle" poke them, while liberals let Ann’s long "needle" poke them as well. The reactions increase, then the over reactions increase, then more resentment and more blame.  What a silly boorish pastime.  How many names will Joy be called, and how many names will Ann be called?  Instead of discussing some of the issues that were introduced into the conversation, albeit with a little aggression back and forth, they are still important issues.

About an hour ago I got a call from my son in the Army, he said he might be stop-lossed and sent to Afghanistan.  He has had 3 deployments, this would be his fourth and Afghanistan has turned into a hell hole.  He called it "the war we won and then lost again", he is not too happy about it.  Needless to say, neither am I.

Please don’t fight.

How right you are in these well-written words. A silly boorish pastime. When will there ever be a respectful discourse that has substance, meaning, genuine depth, that sort of thing. God be with you, and your brave son.

Frannie…how long has your son been in the Army?  When will he get out?

C Hardy, He as been in  since 2002.  He was supposed to get out in June, but he might be stop lossed.  He was afraid to tell me.  I wanna sue somebody.

Frannie…I have known so many "stop lossed"…I dont like those words.  My boss had 2 months before he retired, 20 years in the ARMY reserves and his unit was called to active duty so he spent 12 months in Iraq, got home and then was threatened with a stop loss…thankfully his retirement was granted.  His last deployment was to the first gulf war and he didnt have a wife & 3 children like he did when he went to Iraq.

I truly hope June comes around & your son is able to get out.  He is in my prayers

Thanks C.  Yes it is hard to say how the army figures out who goes and who stays.  We are keeping our fingers crossed.  Other than that, since there is not much we can do about it, we let it be unless it is confirmed that he has to go.

About your son,  3 deployments are enough.  My eldest brother who was career military was sent to Vietnam three times ….and I believe that was the maximum tours allowed.  I will hope right along with you that your son remains stateside.

They get around the issue of max of 3 deployments because we now have a volunteer army, so he may  be slated to go again, I don’t know.  I just put it on the back burner until he gets a firm release date or a stop loss notice.  He told his commander he was out in June, and his commander said that might not make a difference.  Phooey

I read the comment you made about NATO forces in Afghanistan and you are absolutely correct.  Some journalists were on The Charlie Rose Show last week and said that those forces rarely leave their command stations and no longer advance out in the countryside.  The Taliban has, therefore, crept closer and closer to the capitol.  However, a former CIA chief from the area said the Taliban are paying soldiers $8 a day to fight.  The USA is going to offer $9 and see if they get the same positive results as happened in Iraq.

Most NATO forces will be out of Afghanistan in two years.  That is a big problem.  The special envoy to the area (Holbrook) said recently  that America, Pakistan and India are now all in agreement about the threat of the Taliban (or in some cases renegade Pakistani rebels who joined the Taliban).  So America will not be alone in whatever actions President Obama decides.

However, I do emphatically believe that three tours are enough.  American political leaders have an obligation to remain true to their armed forces.  If America were attacked again, then that is a different set of circumstances.  As it is, your son has fulfilled his duty.

Bonnie,

Thanks for the info.  The border of Pakistan and Afghanistan holds strategic geopolitical importance.  I think if my son has to go, he would rather have the US in charge than Nato.

I agree about NATO, Frannie. NATO leadership is just not cutting it. With the destruction of a major supply bridge, and having a key supply base negotiated out from under us by Russia, the logistic situation in Afghanistan is in trouble. I did not like it when they put the emphasis on retention instead of recruitment. It built on experience and cost less, but the human cost…you know far better than I. I stood through two drafts when I was in college, and that is as close to knowing what you are going through as I can claim. I have an uncle who was in the Navy in WWII. He and my aunt passionately want our troops to come home. I had an uncle who served in Europe. He got out after the war, but never really found his way back to civilian life. He never said a word about the military (that I ever heard), but he lived the rest of his life from reveille to taps. Very regimented. I think routine was his sanctuary. Three tours should be the limit. Even career military need to periodically re-immerse in the society they fight so hard for. Prayers for your son, Frannie. Steve R

I’m sorry to hear that you son is being sent to Afghanistan, God bless him. I guess I’m naive about war, but I would have thought after 3 deployments to Iraq (if that’s where he is now) that they would at least send him home for a few months before sending him to Afghanistan.

DeBurca,   Thanks, the military is not like regular life.  We don’t know if he will be stop lossed, but his commander gave him a heads up.  It wouldn’t be until June, because they get a year in between deployments, can only wait and see.
