Hey 'SNL,' This Is Not Ann Coulter (Video)

By The Staff at wowOwow.com
"Ann Coulter" on "SNL"

"Saturday Night Live" doesn’t have the highest opinion of Ann Coulter.

The Conservative — whose controversial views never fail to spark debate — was portrayed this weekend on "Saturday Night Live" as a nonsensical blonde dimwit. During "Weekend Update" with Seth Meyers, "Coulter" insisted:

We need to listen to President Bush when he tells us history will judge this war. And it might take 100 years. And you won’t be here. And George Bush won’t be here. But I will still be here, thanks to a medical procedure I undergo twice a year at a Swiss mountain facility …

I love torture. I think torture is good and Christian-y.

When Meyers questioned Bush’s response to Hurricane Katrina, "Coulter" offered a swift rejoinder:

Sure, it was bad. But think about it — we don’t know how many hurricanes President Bush prevented.

Whoa. Do you think "SNL" pushed the envelope a bit too far here? Watch:

Does this sketch simply add more fuel to the argument she makes in her new book, Guilty, about how the liberal media tends to assault those who disagree with them? Or, are you laughing along with "SNL"?

Okay I want names. I want to know who on the wOw staff posted the query “Whoa. Do you think “SNL” pushed the envelope a bit too far here?” So are we now at a point where we can’t criticize or poke fun at “fraulein Ava Braun aka Ann Coulter” for fear that we will somehow substantiate her claims about liberals? I think not. This is a woman that wakes up in the morning spewing hatred, racist and divisive spin - and goes to bed at night spewing the same garbage. She is a joke. A joke that millions of Americans love and worship and give millions of dollars to because she speaks to the same beliefs that they hold. But she and people who believe the swill she dishes out are a small voice. We (collectively) make it seem as if it is bigger than it is each time people like her speak, but the truth is her opinions represent a small fraction of our society. If this weren’t true, Barack Hussein Obama would NEVER have won the presidency. SNL is great at finding humor about everyone and everything and I applaud them for this. At least I laughed at a caricature of her, usually I am just angered by anything remotely associated with Ava…I mean, Ann.

Stephen Scott, a senior lecturer at the Institute of Psychiatry, and colleagues tracked the costs to the public sector of 142 children with different levels of antisocial behavior, from age 10 to their late 20s. By the age of 28, those seriously antisocial individuals were costing public services at least 10 times as much as those without problems. And Mr Scott says that figure is likely to be an underestimate because of many hidden costs, such as lost employment, undetected crime, costs to victims or the knock-on effect on their families and their subsequent need for public services, for example because of domestic violence. Children with serious behavioral problems known as “conduct disorder” - tantrums, lying, fighting, stealing and destructiveness - tend to end up as aggressive adults, with few friends, violent relationships, lacking in skills and with poor employment prospects. They are excluded from the social mainstream. Poor Ann Coulter, can’t buy help and not many here are buying her hateful message…what a waste.

Ann is probably laughing too! She’ll just laugh as she types a book about them —and, it will become yet another #1 hit on the “best sellers” list!

Just like there were always people filling the Roman Coliseum to watch human beings being torn apart by lions, there will always be buyers for Ann Coulter’s vile books.

THAT is one of the best things about this election… a large majority of Americans refused to be swayed by divisive politics and fear-mongering and used their brains instead. The audience for the likes of Ms. Coulter, Hannity and Limbaugh is steadily shrinking.

Pushed the envelope too far??! This was tame compared with the real Ann Coulter.

In the late fifties…in a podunky town with one movie thee-a-ter….a joke made the rounds that went like this…”Hey, did you hear about the Victor Mature Festival they’re planning?” “No.” “Yep, that’s right…no Victor Mature movies for a week…” So with that in mind, do you think we could have an Ann Coulter festival?….Puh-leeze ?!

The thing is… once things improve in this country and around the world, and things will, as cycles go, her light force will fade because she’ll have nothing to bitch about that most people will even give a remote crap about. Misery loves company.. that’s why she has a following. They feed off each others’ negatvity. Hope, folks, think positive and the nay sayers will not have any hold on you. Look up, not down. Look forward, not back.
