Ann Coulter's New Book Takes On Media's Obama Love

White House press secretary Dana Perino estimated that it would be eight months before the media fell out of love with Barack Obama, but she obviously wasn’t talking about Ann Coulter.

Coulter, who recently had her jaw wired shut, will soon publish yet another new book, "Guilty: Liberal ‘Victims’ And Their Assault On Media." Set to hit shelves the first week of January – that is, right before Obama’s inauguration – "Guilty" will poke fun at the media’s adoration for Obama, his Democratic peers, and take on the what Coulter describes as the "left gone wild." From the front jacket:

When it comes to bullying, no one outdoes the Left. Citing case after case, ranging from the hilariously absurd to the shockingly vicious, Coulter dissects so-called victims who are invariably the oppressors.

For instance: While B. Hussein Obama piously condemned attacks on candidates’ families, his media and campaign surrogates ripped open the court-sealed divorce records of his two principal opponents in his Senate race in Illinois.

The real question now becomes not when the media will become more critical of Obama, but whether the public will buy it - figuratively and literally, of course.

Sure she will! Don’t they all, like, turn into dust if they don’t feed on the souls of 12 robust children by midnight on December 31st, 2012 or something?

You know, Frank, she seems such a desparately angry individual. The few times I have actually taken time to observe her, I think her mannerisms, the tone her voice takes and her anorexic appearance point to someone who is so angry and full of downright hate of issues that have nothing to do with politics. I always wonder at people like that anyway; what are they trying to forget?

I agree—her body language is very indicative of that. One wonders what happened if anything—

If you listen to her, Limbaugh, Hannity—indeed all of the screamers—they are displaying profound anger, and I am starting to realizing they have found a way to express it, to manipulate masses of people, to make a lot of money and have a lot of power. Now, who does that remind you of?

Umm lessee—Hitler? lol Very astute Di and yes I agree—once Hitler controlled the radio he had the population under control. Control the “air waves” and you control the nation./

http://www.nybooks.com/articles/22170 Di, an excellent article from the NY Review of Books on Obama’s staff and the the early thinking that went into his choices. I still think Hillary is a mistake and I’ll probably get trashed for my view, but I don’t think she’ll do well as a subordinate—Obama should make Bill an Ambassador at large to Africa where he’ll be incredibly useful and frankly out of DC or send him to the UN—what think you?

I agree. Would much rather have had Holbrooke. And, I thought of something this a.m. Is it possible, do you think, could it be that Bill Clinton would/could take his wife’s place in the Senate? If Beau Biden had not been in Iraq, he would have taken his Dad’s place. It could happen, couldn’t it. By the way, Volcker will be head of Economic Recovery team. :)

Diana, What a great idea! No.1, it would be a treat to watch Bill Clinton in action on the floor of the Senate, No.2, it would keep him distracted while Hillary does her job. lol Also, about Volcker, as I understand it he was with the Clinton cabinet, correct? I think they oughta figure out a way to legally make the whole Bush Adm. pay the American People for the debts they inflicted on us, the war in Iraq - I have always affirmed the war in Afghanistan, and all the monies which were “lost?” in Irag… peculiar how someone can lose what a billion dollars, or was it only millions? After awhile, one figure or the other seems unimportant, when we get to that many zeros. Damned corrupt group, anyway!

Ro, Paul Volcker was Chairman of the Federal Reserve from 1979-1987; was succeeded by Greenspan. I don’t think he served under Bill Clinton because he left the Fed to take care of his dying wife(1998). Diana: Why mention something about her appearance? She doesn’t like liberals. She is not angry, people are angry with her for giving her opinion. You also mentioned the hate. Why? Ever hear the phrase, misery loves company. Are the misery or just the company. Stop hating your country so much. Stop hating Coulter and Palin so much. You’re a woman, they’re women. What more of a connection do you need?

You’re a man, Obama’s a man. What more of a connection do you need? And why mention Hillary and Whoopi’s appearnaces in favor of Sarah Palin’s glamorous, “traditional” femininity, as you have previously done so many times?
