Ann Coulter's New Book Takes On Media's Obama Love

By The Staff at wowOwow.com

White House press secretary Dana Perino estimated that it would be eight months before the media fell out of love with Barack Obama, but she obviously wasn’t talking about Ann Coulter.

Coulter, who recently had her jaw wired shut, will soon publish yet another new book, "Guilty: Liberal ‘Victims’ And Their Assault On Media." Set to hit shelves the first week of January – that is, right before Obama’s inauguration – "Guilty" will poke fun at the media’s adoration for Obama, his Democratic peers, and take on the what Coulter describes as the "left gone wild." From the front jacket:

When it comes to bullying, no one outdoes the Left. Citing case after case, ranging from the hilariously absurd to the shockingly vicious, Coulter dissects so-called victims who are invariably the oppressors.

For instance: While B. Hussein Obama piously condemned attacks on candidates’ families, his media and campaign surrogates ripped open the court-sealed divorce records of his two principal opponents in his Senate race in Illinois.

The real question now becomes not when the media will become more critical of Obama, but whether the public will buy it - figuratively and literally, of course.

Tanja, One of the aspects of this site that I like and respect is when fellow posters, post comments or statement and can back them up if needed. As many do, they often provide links to articles or websites that substantiate what they are stating in a post. Your response to my post however on its face is so ridiculous; I am shocked that you would post it. You said: “Ann Coulter can come across as harsh and very direct. However she does back up what she says. She does her research and I have to give credit to that.” You can’t possibly be serious? I could provide you with a laundry list of racist, sexist, disgusting and slanderous statements she has made that in no way have the slightest hint of accuracy. Have you stayed abreast of comments she has made about Barack Obama? Do you know how many times she has referred to him as a Muslim when he has repeatedly said he is Christian? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rUkaX2D93ck&feature=related I agree with you in regard to freedom of speech, and to be honest when people like her who thrive on hate speech exercise their right in that aspect, I love it….it shows their ignorance and they ultimately speak to a smaller and smaller audience. You need only look at the adverse reaction Sarah Palin and McCain received as they attempted to smear Obama during the campaign. You may not agree with everything that Coulter has to say Tanja, but you should rethink those that you give credit to for what they say. She’s not deserving of any level of respect you could offer.

Tanja: Do I agree to freedom of speech? Free Speech is always the bottom line. It has to be protected at all costs. For that reason alone, I would say to Ann Coulter, keep on keepin’ on. I agree with you on Sarah Palin. The media goes after her like bullies. Why? I can only guess it’s because she’s a woman, and it is allowed to happen. Even cheered on by other women. Too sad.

Yep, the bottom line is FREE SPEECH and it needs to be protected! I learned a great deal about women this year and it is really sad. To some if you are pro-life then you are the enemy and you are considered evil. How backwards is that?! If you don’t agree with everything with your liberal friends or fellow liberals then you are not considered a liberal. If you are civil or even cordial to those who are Republicans you are deemed the enemy or a traitor. If you question Gloria Steinem well then you are instantly the enemy. (Rolling my eyes on that one.) It’s really odd. It reminds me of the movie “The Last Supper” that starred Cameron Diaz. Extreme groups are just that extremes. I am NOT one of those extreme liberal feminists portrayed in the movie. I refuse to be that way and my friends refuse to be that way as well. We embrace being feminists. Everyone has the right to an opinion. Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Speech. Take care Marjorie and thank you.

I CANNOT stomach this! Republican “Leadership” has brought this country almost completely DOWN. HELLLLLOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! Anybody home in there? The entire WORLD is suffering & the worst is yet to come—-while Bush & his neo-con buddies sit on their respective asses & do NOTHING—answer for NOTHING they’ve done to us—-and still— STILL—-!!! mind you—- the Coulters of this world are hawking their books & columns which attempt to bash, slander, & undermine our only hope of digging out from under this neo-con mess they’ve left us with. So here’s yet another book about those “awful” liberals——HA!—-with wowowow helping push it for them. OMG. ENOUGH. We’ve all been taken for a ride by the Republicans & abruptly dumped off chest deep in Republican poo. There’s a handful of elite rich who are NOT hurting from this debacle—they are Bush’s “base” as he refers to them, the upper 1% elite rich. Now, the Repubs are attempting to slime the last slim stick WE have to grab on to….in an effort to fix the clusterf___ THEY left us—by undermining Obama’s efforts. Any neo-con who DARES open his/her big mouth to bash progressives, after this horrendous mess of the century—-if not of all time—-they’ve left us with needs to SHUT IT. They’ve lost all credibility & we’ve lost all patience. BOO YA COULTER. Get out of the way before the stampede for the soup lines that are surely coming, run over ya…..

Char- No one is making you purchase the book. It’s good that you are utilizing your freedom of speech just like everybody else is including Ann Coulter. Happy Holidays!

No one COULD make me purchase Coulter’s book Tanja, that’s not the point. The point is that wow0wow continues hawking her offensive crap at us—like it’s worth reading—or even like wowowow’s visitors WANT them to push Coulter’s book on us. I seriously doubt they do. It’s the squeaky wheel that gets the grease. COMPLAIN to them. Do you work for wow0wow, Tanja?

PS I looked at your profile, Tanja Pineda. You keep repeating you’re a “liberal”—which is odd—considering you express what are traditionally conservative opinions. I don’t keep repeating I’m a progressivive—even though I am—because there’s no need to. Methinks you protest too much—something rotten in the state of Denmark etc Just keeping it real.

Well I lived in San Fran and shared an apartment with four other ladies. I was the only straight person there. All of them swear up and down that I am liberal. I normally don’t label myself however it seems here on this web that you have to or something. Go figure. Keeping it real girl. Cheers.

I already did “go figure” it, Tanja. I once cornered a guy this way—by reading all his posts—which contradicited what he was claiming. He, like you, also told me he couldn’t explain it because—get this—his buddy had just popped in with his surf board to tell him surf was up & he had to go! His story is more creative.

Tanja Great website. Your work looks very interesting. You seem to have a vivid canvas that you expand on. I like the “why” of things. Motivation always precedes actions and if you can find out the “why” you can find your freedom. Also the big “Why’s” questioning the nature of being. I like it.

Char: I don’t keep repeating I’m a progressivive… A progressive who doesn’t believe in free speech? How is that progressive?
