Ann Coulter's New Book Takes On Media's Obama Love

White House press secretary Dana Perino estimated that it would be eight months before the media fell out of love with Barack Obama, but she obviously wasn’t talking about Ann Coulter.

Coulter, who recently had her jaw wired shut, will soon publish yet another new book, "Guilty: Liberal ‘Victims’ And Their Assault On Media." Set to hit shelves the first week of January – that is, right before Obama’s inauguration – "Guilty" will poke fun at the media’s adoration for Obama, his Democratic peers, and take on the what Coulter describes as the "left gone wild." From the front jacket:

When it comes to bullying, no one outdoes the Left. Citing case after case, ranging from the hilariously absurd to the shockingly vicious, Coulter dissects so-called victims who are invariably the oppressors.

For instance: While B. Hussein Obama piously condemned attacks on candidates’ families, his media and campaign surrogates ripped open the court-sealed divorce records of his two principal opponents in his Senate race in Illinois.

The real question now becomes not when the media will become more critical of Obama, but whether the public will buy it - figuratively and literally, of course.

I think Ann Coulter is such a poseur with a great act guaranteed to raise the ire of those who disagree with her, and there are a lot of us, which is why she is such a success. There she is, with her long out-dated blond hair, her cross, like a good Christian woman, and her low cut black dresses - also her adam’s apple, which causes a lot of questions of her sex. She is so anorexic and all I can see is this woman and laxatives/vomiting, which makes me smile when I hear her vitriolic comments, knowing that what we see is just a costumed, possibly insecure person, who must say and write this inflamatory crap to put us all on and become very rich in the process, but is she stable in real life?

Diana, Thanks for the heads up. I did not keep up on all that stuff back then, it just didn’t seem quite as important. One good thing that will come out of the “bush legacy” is people being fed up, pissed off, and striking out against the injustice. He keeps referring to his legacy, well, that’s all there is folks! It ain’t good otherwise… Ok, enough about Coulter, we gave her entirely too much time on here - let’s move on shall we?

I’d like to rap NBC on the knuckles for booking Ann Coulter on the Today show on Jan. 6. Coulter is factually challenged and, in her opinions, a nasty piece of work. Just when you think she’s scraped bottom, she goes lower. [Read about her new book here: http://mediamatters.org/items/200901040002?f=h_top] And yet Today will have her on. As a humorist? (She’s not.) A conservative? (Oh please). A professional hater? (I wish.) I’ve written the Today show —- Today@NBCUNI.com —- to say that, thanks to this disgusting booking, I won’t be watching the show for the next two or three months. And if I can find out who advertises during that segment, I’ll alert those advertisers as well. Feel free to send your thoughts to Today….
